Its funny that this govt tries not to do anything but the far left & Jihadists keep escalating & pushing them to take actions. They prob hope this will be it & they can go back to playing ostrich. But they will push further & further until this govt or the next does sth extreme.

@RyanO_ChosenCoy It's quite obvious what all these countries bordering Ukraine are trying to do, the Russian strategy. Elevate a minority needs so high that they will perpetually use it as a pretext to attack Ukraine. And if they are strong enough maybe invade like Russia for the land.

I’m failing to see why any higher institution would have tests outside of the country’s native tongue. Do universities teach in Ukrainian? Have tests in Ukrainian? And all the other absurd stuff he’s on about.
Magyar Péter (Ne féljetek)@magyarpeterMP

I am initiating consultations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in early June in Transcarpathia. I received Zoltán Babják, Mayor of Berehove, in my office, who briefed me on the situation of Hungarians in Transcarpathia and the horrors of the war. We agreed that it is in the interest of Hungarians living in Transcarpathia to place Hungarian–Ukrainian relations on new foundations. Based on the above, I am initiating a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in early June, symbolically in Berehove, a Hungarian-majority town. The aim of the meeting is to improve the situation of Hungarians in Transcarpathia and to support their ability to remain in their homeland. The time has come for Ukraine to put an end to the restrictions that have been in place for more than a decade, and to ensure that Hungarians in Transcarpathia regain all their cultural, linguistic, administrative, and higher education rights, so that they can once again become equal and respected citizens of Ukraine. This would also help ensure that, once the war has ended, as many Hungarians from Transcarpathia as possible can return to their homeland. If we can resolve these issues, we can certainly open a new chapter in Hungarian–Ukrainian bilateral relations. The concessions announced by the Ukrainian government in 2025 in the field of education are a step in the right direction, but they are not sufficient. Higher education in Ukraine remains monolingual, final examinations are conducted in Ukrainian, and there has been no meaningful change in other areas of official language use. It remains the case that official language use in Ukraine is strictly limited to a single language. In public administration, in the courts, and in official procedures, only Ukrainian may be used. The Hungarian minority cannot request official administration in their mother tongue, not even in settlements with a Hungarian majority. Restrictions also remain in public life and culture: Hungarian-language events and media outlets are allowed to operate, but under quotas and burdensome registration and formal requirements. In public appearances, officials — such as school principals or mayors — are still not free to use their mother tongue. From here, I encourage the Ukrainian leadership to take bold steps in these areas as well, in the direction of European values and genuine freedom and equality. I assured the Mayor that our compatriots in Transcarpathia can count on the full support of the mother country and of a TISZA government. I hope to soon be able to accept his kind invitation to Berehove. I am ready.

@Blake_Allen13 Yeah but Netanyahu gets to align with his partner in crime Putin. Its the same thing the Trump admin did when they came in. Promptly aligned with Russia & alienated a lot of Europe. They are all determined to burn alliances for Putin/Russia.

Ironic as the Russians were the ones who really started the drone warfare with weapons from Iran. Terrorised Ukrainians civilians daily (still do in Kherson). But now we are all supposed to be up in arms bc the Ukrainians are droning them?
Yugopnik@yugopnik

The only reason drone warfare isn’t treated like nerve gas or land mines under international law is because it isn’t the West’s sons dying from it. As soon as it’s not Ivans being blown to bits but Johns and Toms the “discussion on the ethics of drone warfare” will become a mainstream talking point.

@jurgen_nauditt From what I've seen so far as long she stays away from refineries she & her son are in no danger from Ukrainian drones. They're more focused on Russian infrastructure than civilians. Unlike the Russians who haven't met civilian buildings they didn't want to bomb.

"I desperately wanted to live by the sea with my child. Now the sea is full of heating oil," sobs a resident of Tuapse after yet another attack on the port and refinery. "What are we supposed to do here? These damn drones are flying around, blowing everything up. You don't know if you or your child will even survive." This Russian scum had no problem for over four years with Russian soldiers invading peaceful Ukraine, committing over 217,000 war crimes, stealing, killing, and raping. But the oil in the sea makes them cry. Russians are the most disgusting people on this planet—not just because of this piece of shit, but because 83% of all Russians still support the mass murderer Putin—that's why.

"It's obvious that neither the current air defense system nor the Ministry of Defense are able to cope with the mass and regularity of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory. We either need radical reforms and changes in this area, or the disabling of drone production facilities for the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in Europe. Otherwise, we will face major problems by the end of the year." -Russian milblogger Military Informant after the strikes on Tuapse overnight

Clueless was an adaptation of Emma. 10 Things I Hate About You was Taming of the Shrew. Lion King was Hamlet. She's the Man was Twelfth Night. Feels like we used to do lots of kids/teen movies that were based on classic literature, and we just stopped? Should do more of that.

Leftists are mad because this describes them exactly. They absolutely let trump back in office on purpose; they were proud of themselves for not voting for Kamala. It’s was almost celebratory, they high fived each other and patted themselves on the back. We saw you

Ukraine are great… blah blah blah”meanwhile quietly keeping the door open for Russia and prolonging the war in Ukraine. That’s the reality. No one in the Trump administration has any credibility left. When people start finding the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps more believable than the White House, something has gone seriously wrong, and someone needs to be held to account.

Jens Stoltenberg went on Fox News this week. It did not go the way Trump would have liked. The former NATO Secretary General, now Norway’s Finance Minister, was asked about Trump’s threats to pull the United States out of the alliance. He answered with the kind of calm, precise demolition that only a Norwegian diplomat can deliver without raising his voice once. On why Europe didn’t join the war: “NATO is a defensive alliance. The strikes or the war against Iran were never an attempt to make that into a NATO operation.” On whether Europe disagrees with America about Iran: “We all agree the Iranian nuclear program is dangerous. The question is how we achieve that goal.” Translation: the problem was never the destination. It was the lunatic who decided to get there by setting the car on fire. On what Trump should have done before launching: “If you want NATO to contribute, then at least you have to sit down with NATO allies, as you did after 9/11. You cannot expect us just to be there without any consultations, any discussions in NATO before you take the decision to launch the attack.” This is Stoltenberg saying, in the most polished terms imaginable, that you do not start a war at two in the morning on Truth Social and then ring your allies for help at breakfast. On whether Europe abandoned America: “The majority of European allies have made sure that their bases and infrastructure were available for the United States. There are some exceptions, but most have contributed.” Most helped. Quietly. Without being asked to endorse a war they considered illegal. On why leaving NATO would be catastrophic for America specifically: “The United States is 25 per cent of the global economy. But together with NATO allies, we are 50 per cent of the global economy and 50 per cent of the world’s military might. So it makes the United States safer to have friends and allies — something that Russia and China don’t have at all.” And then, in a separate interview, the warning nobody in Washington wants to hear: “It’s not a natural law that we will have NATO forever. It’s not carved in stone that NATO will exist for the next ten years.” That last line was not a threat. It was a diagnosis. Trump called NATO a Paper Tiger. Stoltenberg replied, with characteristic Norwegian understatement, that paper tigers tend to be considerably less useful once you’ve set them on fire yourself. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1
