Really? So why is it being reviewed now when 2 male MSPs who don't want to appear in the 'Male MSP' category have been elected. #SuspiciousTiming #ConvenientAF
@GinaDavidson@ginadavidsonlbc

The @ScotParl says its removal of the "gender filter" on its website is part of "the Inclusive Parliament Review" & the "online filter function... is a legacy system & we have taken steps to remove it" Parl also considering what "personal information" on MSPs it needs to publish

“It appears there is one or two of the contenders for PM that want to take Britain back into the EU. But there’s a wee problem with that, it called Deregulated Freeports! The EU doesn’t do them and we can’t afford to change them!” joansjigsaw.uk/2026/05/17/the…

Over the last 6 years we have tried to show people how our Scottish election voting system works , now with less than a year to the local council elections we must understand how we vote to get our councillors elected to our wards It’s called ‘ Single Transferable Vote’ ( STV ) We do not places X’s but rank the candidates in order of preference , giving your most preferred ‘ 1 ‘ on the ballot , 2nd ‘ 2 ‘ and so on . Here is a short video to get you started duckduckgo.com/?q=the+perfect…

@IndyScotParty Imagine this - in Switzerland they make enough hydro electricity to sell to residents very cheaply and sell the surplus to neighbours for a profit. The complete opposite of how we are constantly robbed.

It's a nonsense dismissal from an anglosplaining 1 follower troll. No oath, no seat, no salary and not able to represent your constituents. How is anyone to change a system they can't take part in. Everyone can take the opportunity to object to the current oath as they did afaik. @coletteisp and @Allanpetrie91 have worked on a replacement for a few years but until it's changed no one has an actual option. That's it's purpose I suppose ...even though several Greens and SNP candidates objected before the oath just last week.

I think we all know it is not a legal requirement to partake in someone else's ideology. Also there should be respect for that legal position. I would question the legality of @POScotParl imposing this ideology on our MSPs.

"Gibson said he had addressed the issue with Green MSPs in a meeting before his election." Looks very much like the Green votes that secured his position were bought and paid for with his colleagues rights to legal and accurate speech. archive.ph/gFDJk

“Our Energy Bills Subsidise Landowners Scotland’s energy transition is indeed distributing financial rewards to those affected, but not evenly, with local communities often getting paltry rewards in comparison with big estate owners, one of whom got £11 million in rental income from a wind project. Estate-owners do appear to gain a disproportionate financial benefit from wind farms. While onshore wind power potential is among the highest in the Scottish Highlands, islands and coastal regions, Scotland’s land ownership is among the most concentrated in Europe, with 408 landowners owning half of Scotland’s privately held rural land, worse than a decade ago. Scotland’s second-largest private landowner is asset manager Gresham House, specialist energy investment and forestry manager. Landowner Payments are Much Higher Payments to landowners are calculated according to various income streams, including the UK government’s Contracts for Difference (which subsidise renewable energy directly through customer payments), electricity sales and constraint payments (made when a wind farm is turned off due to the electricity grid being unable to take the electricity generated). Landowners’ rental payments can be up to 15%. Community payments are calculated at a far lower level than private landowners’. Douglas and Angus Estates (linked with the Earls of Home) got £904,000 last year in rental income for hosting 15 turbines at Middle Muir, near Biggar, whereas the local community got only £255,000. And Christopher Moran’s Glenfiddich estate in Moray is the home of EDF-owned Dorenell Wind Farm, which has consistently received large payments, culminating in £11 million in 2025, whereas the communities were paid only £0.5 million. “ isp.scot/may-9th-may-15…

“With Sarwar demanding that they are the official opposition because they got more votes. Well, I suppose that is true. Then we also have Swinney crowing that he has secured talks with Starmer about a future Referendum……only the PMs office doesn’t see it like that!” joansjigsaw.uk/2026/05/14/the…

I stood again out of a sense of duty , duty to the causes I believe in, particularly Scottish independence and women’s rights; duty to those who believed in me; and duty to my staff team. I knew standing as an independent candidate would be a significant challenge and did not expect victory. Nevertheless, I am deeply grateful to everyone who voted for me, supported me, donated to the campaign, and to my dedicated team who worked so hard throughout. Of course, I felt disappointed by the vote share. But alongside that, I also felt a sense of relief, a feeling I suspect will grow over the coming weeks as I reflect on this chapter of my life coming to a close. My commiserations to all those who stood and were not successful. It takes courage to put yourself forward for public office and open yourself to public judgement. And my warmest congratulations to those who were elected. Public office is both a privilege and a heavy responsibility. I hope all those elected will exercise good judgement, show integrity, and always put the interests of the country before party or ideology.

There is no way of stopping Q collecting 5 years of MSP pay As we saw with Derek Mackay, Sturgeon and Humza he doesn’t even have to turn up for work So unless he resigns which he won’t we are paying for him for 5 years The Greens who put him there can’t remove him.

SNP: We are meeting with the Prime Minister to talk about a referendum. Also the SNP: We are tabling an amendment of no confidence in the Prime Minister so he'll get the sack. For the love of the wee man.
