The greatest feat since Fergie retired? Dalot outlasting SEVEN managers… and counting.

Put your feet up, lads. Rest up. It’s only the Manchester derby on Saturday. Pop back in on Wednesday — hopefully someone will be around to run training by then.

Also what club after a manager is sacked appoints an interim manager whilst they interview candidates to be interim manager whilst they look at options for a permant manager after sacking the last manager 12 months into his contract It’s hilarious 🤣

I hope Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt enjoyed the game today. One of their mates in the dugout, academy on the pitch, 4 at the back, loads and loads of “United DNA” to enjoy. Must have been quite the experience for them.

🚨🇵🇹A SPORTING LISBON FAN WROTE THIS: 👇 As a Sporting supporter, I genuinely believe Manchester United fans will come to regret the club’s decision to dismiss Amorim. It was unfair to judge his system without first providing him with suitable midfielders and wing-backs. The club had a young, promising manager with a strong personality, someone who was also willing to challenge an underperforming board. Now, United risk being held back by veteran players who remain more out of attachment than ambition, seemingly willing to see the club decline rather than pursue new challenges elsewhere. I also find it unlikely that many managers would be eager to take on the Manchester United role at this stage of the season. Amorim was transparent about his system and preferred style of play from the very beginning. He interviewed with Liverpool, who ultimately decided not to proceed because they wanted to play a different way, which is entirely reasonable. Manchester United, however, chose to back him. Given that he had clearly communicated his philosophy from day one, it is difficult to understand why the board later began to micromanage his work. Well, I guess I understand why they did it, because of the pressure from the likes of Gary Neville. Rather than instructing him on how to coach, he should be allowed to do his job, while the scouting department should have fulfilled theirs by providing him with suitable midfielders and wing-backs. During his time at Sporting, he revolutionized the club’s style of play, to the extent that even the B team adopted his system to ease player transitions into the first team. And let me tell you, we played beautifully. It wasn't boring, it wasn't slow, we completely dominated teams both in the Portuguese league and europe. This is a long-term project that requires trust and patience. Thoughts on his take? 👇💬 #MUFC

Where is manager Jason Wilcox to front up to the media to explain why the fans feel disconnected , players look clueless and the whole air around the club is uncertainty and acceptance of another write off of a season . Come front up “manage”

Regardless if I backed Amorim or not, the problem was never him or his system, and I get that his position was untenable after that press conference… But they’ve sacked a manager, with no plan, and written another season off. They should all be following Amorim out of the door!

Fletcher already throwing the players under the bus after 2 games. Fair fucking play for Ruben for keeping it altogether for so long. He basically got the sacked for saying the players are mentally not strong enough if they listen to pundits and let it get to them. Lost for words

If you are going to sack your head coach, you must have a plan to replace them. United are just winging it and hoping they stumble across a solution. This week has only proved the problems go far above and beyond the head coach #mufc

Absolutely bang on .. the ex players are just bored and toxic end of .. Amorim needed more time .. he had signed a total of 4-5 players .. out of which Dorgu is a young work in progress player and so is Lammens who came in late .. he lost players to afcon and injury in the busiest period of the year and we still sat 5 th.. now we have to start all over again

Arsenal fan speaking the absolute truth About Amorim & the ex players. I urge every United fan to remember this with the new manager at the helm. A must watch.

Was really encouraging to see Fletcher make attacking substitutions and taking risks to try to win the game. There is clearly no cosmic deity, if there was, that Shea Lacey shot goes in, it broke my heart when that hit the bar and came out. So refreshing to see his confidence, the way he runs at players and the fact he’s willing to have a crack once he gets a sight of goal.

Felt like shackles off for MUFC tonight. Players not restricted by formation, nor instructions. Kobbie reintro/Lacey cameo easy wins for Fletch. Most pleasing is we never stopped trying to win game, even at risk of losing it. Epitomised by brave subs; 2 CDMs for attacking players

Can we just check that it's Darren Fletcher the former Man Utd player who's taking over from Amorim, not Darren Fletcher the TNT commentator. You never know with this board.

I don't need to keep quiet any more because of Man City's intimidation, because I work for myself. If you want answers about what is really happening with "115", ask reporters of every credible news source, publicly, about their own interactions with the club on this subject.

A good Premier League win. Finally. But, wow, that was a hard second half watch. Serious questions being asked of Amorim now. Subs completely killed the game and lucky to get away with the 3 points. Has to do better.
