@FlyFrontier Things are not going well for DCA. My daughter is at least on a flight home. Wish her companion could say the same. He is spending a second night in DC not because of weather, but bad customer service. You changed their flight for weather, then again the next 1/x

@WilliamShatner Don’t Worry, Harrison Ford covered it.
You could have just remained silent. Your post prompted all kinds of negative political comments about Hollywood and Sulu and even you for not becoming an American citizen after all these years. Even the neutral zone is toxic.

@KryceksAngel @LydaTimr @CollinRugg Nope. Woman born woman. Her parents named her Jeffrey on her birth certificate. She changed her name to a female identified name.

NEW: Christian outreach campaign ‘He Gets Us’ releases Super Bowl ad depicting Christians washing people’s feet.
The Christians were washing the feet of a woman at an abortion clinic, an alcoholic, an environmental activist, an illegal immigrant, what appears to be a Black Lives Matter protester, a gay man and others.
English

@R2Think @CollinRugg Hobby Lobby. Absolutely a Christian company.
English

@CollinRugg So, are all they also saying that all these “women” getting their feet washed are actually prostitutes as well? Or are the foot washers the prostitutes? Maybe they mean slaves? I bet the ad buyer is not anything close to a Christian company or organization.

@apocalysque @ZaleskiLuke @CollinRugg @EndWokeness No. Free market capitalism takes brand reputation into account. And that’s what Disney and the other advertisers are doing. It’s not personal politics. Disney ads don’t show up next to random child trafficking content because that’s not how Facebook works.
English

@ZaleskiLuke @CollinRugg @EndWokeness No. Free market capitalism would be spending your advertising money with the best advertiser regardless of personal politics. And you’re probably right, bribery would be the best choice to describe it.

BREAKING: Elon Musk tells advertisers to “go f**k” themselves if they are going to try and blackmail him on his own platform.
And this is exactly why Elon was the perfect person to buy Twitter 🔥
“If somebody's gonna try to blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money, go f**k yourself. But go f**k yourself. Is that clear? I hope it is.”
Epic 🔥

I got hit by a pickup truck while in the Sherman Circle NW bike lane in Washington DC, at Illinois Avenue NW, by a driver who said he didn't see me and failed to yield. Only bad muscle strain and abrasions, but goddamn. #BikeDC

@jasonkilanski @GeorgeTakei Obama - Marriage is between one man and one woman. Joe Biden - Of course same sex marriage should be legal. No question.
English

@GeorgeTakei Bill Clinton never supported the gay community from any position of power.
That didn't happen until Obama, almost a decade later.

This is for the young progressives out there. When I was a bit younger, I was terribly disappointed with then President Bill Clinton, who signed the hateful DOMA and Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell into law. It seemed he had betrayed all of his values and the LGBTQ community that had helped get him elected. There was a part of me that said I would stand on principle and never vote for him again.
But then I remembered, voting isn’t about loving everything about your candidate. Voting for me is about making a strategic move that will best advance the cause of democracy, freedom and peace for all people, even if my candidate of choice really, really let me down.
I supported Bill Clinton for a second term, even though he had just signed DOMA into law, a law that said my love for my husband Brad was not enough to be legally recognized, not ever.
Candidates aren’t perfect. We shouldn’t ever expect them to agree with us always, even on the most basic of things. But we cast our votes as a prayer for them to do better because we know they can, and their hearts are in the right place.
Bill Clinton came around to supporting my community, without exception. It took time. We got there. So don’t waste your vote. Use it wisely, and make the decision, even if it’s hard, to back the best candidate for what the world needs, and to help prevent an utter catastrophe if, heaven forbid, the other one is elected.

@Mark_McEathron @stxpdx @blairewhite There is a good recent article in the Atlantic that supports your position and the shifts in police ranks. Local cops in my town tell me they’d like fewer armed citizens. But this is California.
English

@colleenclay @stxpdx @blairewhite Most States.
Police in general tend to be quite pro 2A. They know they can't be everywhere all of the time.

I am officially going to start open carrying a firearm.
I was just trapped inside my car in parking garage by a homeless person who kept screaming incoherently and jumping in front of my car every time I tried to reposition it to drive away. This lasted about a minute.
Just as I was about to dial 911 a man who happens to be driving into the garage saw what was happening and yelled at him to leave me alone until he backed down.
I have my guns at home obviously but that’s clearly not enough.
I refuse to ever feel that helpless again. Learned my lesson.
English

@JBologna27 @ToddGerritzen @stxpdx @blairewhite It is my opinion based on observations of recent cases, that if you have an option to avoid the conflict and you don’t, you may lose SYG protection.
English

@colleenclay @ToddGerritzen @stxpdx @blairewhite Not what I said, if you ask them to leave you alone and you exit your car and they come at you yes you will be able to shoot them. That qualifies as stand your ground
English

@JBologna27 @ToddGerritzen @stxpdx @blairewhite You can’t shoot someone cause they won’t leave you alone. You’ll go to jail. See woman in jail for shooting and killing neighbor through the door. So shooting them through the car window or door would be a no no. And if you get out of your car and shoot someone good luck.
English

@ToddGerritzen @colleenclay @stxpdx @blairewhite You have a right to defend yourself from aggressors
English

@colleenclay @stxpdx @blairewhite Do you have to know how to use the weapon. Don’t ever be afraid of it. And what happens when 911 doesn’t show up?
