We don't know the real terms of the ceasefire. We don't know if it will last. We do know that American forces were not ordered to commit a crime against humanity tonight -- an event that could break the military and trigger a constitutional crisis. I'm relieved, but I'm also furious that he put the innocent people of Iran, our nation, and the world through one of the most senseless, anxious, and dangerous days in recent history. And he might do it again.

If such threats are war crimes, then anyone who’s advocated for the destruction of Israel are war criminals. War crimes are actions, not words. The civilization he was referring to is the system of oppression. Iran used to be a chic Westernized country until the 1970s. Women wore mini skirts and bikinis at the beach. It was a Paris of the Middle East. That civilization was destroyed with the fall of the Shah. The Ayatollah took over, and he chose who was allowed to run for President from then on. Religious police kidnapped women off the street if any hair was showing under their roosarie, their word for hijab. Such women were beaten, whipped, or even raped. When the people of Iran rose up in protest, wanting freedom back, the Ayatollah ordered them slaughtered by the tens of thousands, and for the women, and many of the men, to be gang raped before execution. When two nurses interfered with IRGC shooting wounded protestors at a hospital, they were gang raped with such savagery that one of them lost her uterus. The IRGC broke the teeth of protestors held prisoner, and forced them to swallow them at gun point. That system is the civilization Trump wants destroyed, to be replaced with the free Iranian civilization that stood before. A majority of the Iranian people have begged him to bomb Iran and free them. So many were cheering that the IRGC sent jihadis to shoot into any houses where they heard cheering through the windows. The Left around the world has stood with the terrorist Iranian Regime against the Iranian people, and against President Trump and the U.S. The Iranian Regime was the real life inspiration for Margaret Atwood’s “A Handmaid’s Tale”. Don’t you want the Republicans of Gilead town down so the Handmaids may be free?

@color_mage @TheWeathergage @DavidAFrench Certainly it's defensible. He scared the Regime into opening the strait long enough to get our merchant ships out, and likely US amphibious ships in. If he had done it, maybe it would have been indefensible. But a threat? It was a negotiating tactic, and it worked.

This entire time, President Trump has spoken of destroying the Iranian regime, and supporting the Iranian people, who want freedom. While I agree that his word choice was inflammatory, you, and many others, have taken his post out of context of his clearly held position. You know he was talking about destroying the society of Ayatollahs picking who runs for president, deploying religious police to beat, or rape, or whip girls and women for showing their hair. This regime slaughtered tens of thousands of unarmed protestors, and they gang raped women, and many men, before execution. The question is, if you really don’t understand that this oppressive system is the civilization he threatened to destroy, or if you are well aware and just want to get Trump at all cost.

Really glad that the pilot is safe. It's also comical that MAGA simpletons think that the fact that a pilot who was sent into a useless war didn't die somehow redeems the war.

Democrats let in untold millions of illegal alien who have since had children. All of those children are decreed citizens, future voters and made instantly eligible for lifetime welfare. That welfare in turn is sent in the form of remittances to their home countries. Those remittances then provide enough cash for future migrants to pay cartel smugglers to come to the United States. These cartel smugglers use their profits to export drugs, gangs and death to American communities.

I know it's boring and repetitive to talk about how grossly evil Trump is, but the fact remains: Trump is grossly evil, in a way that's pretty much unprecedented in this country.

I’ll never understand how displays like this don’t cause people to spontaneously combust with embarrassment.

A lit publishing friend said her company screens submissions for the likelihood they’re AI, and turns down subs with high likelihoods. Ironically, they’re using AI to do this and don’t seem to understand that, in doing so, they’re giving AI more content to digest and train on. Now add to the mix this high degree of inaccuracy and you get writers submitting original content that’s being used without their consent to train AI which prevents them from earning a living from their personal work. Humanity can’t keep going in this direction.
