The only thing that would leave the terrorist Iranian Regime in place to rebuild, continue sponsoring terrorism, and oppressing Iranians, is if the U.S. and Israel stop Operation Epic Fury before completion. That is exactly what Democrats, the Tucker Carlsons of the right, UK, EU, and other countries, are pressuring President Trump to do. If Operation Epic Fury succeeds, it will have turned Iran from foe to ally, stabilized the Middke East, and removed the source of thousands of terrorist attacks. The Straight of Hormuz would become far safer, as piracy would virtually collapse, and the cost of insuring shipping would plummet. The risk of nuclear war would diminish. It is impossible to overstate the achievement towards World Peace and regional stability this would accomplish. The Left, in the U.S. and abroad, cannot allow President Trump to garner such an achievement, and they will support a terrorist regime that mass murdered protestors to block it. Never forget on which side they stood.

READ what you posted. The pope vaguely referred to tensions in Iran and Syria. The Iranian regime slaughtered tens of thousands of unarmed protestors, gang raped prisoners before execution. I can’t tell what the Pope was talking about with “tensions.” By comparison, President Trump battles this terrorist regime, at the request of a majority of the Iranian people, and our pope publicly called him a war criminal and tried to get Catholics to turn on the president. Protestants think the pope controls Catholics. What do you think the pope advising Catholics to turn against the president does for that belief?

🚨 MAJOR NEWS: Pope Leo XIV just declared the Iran War unjust. Called it a war crime. Said it is “not solving anything.” And told Americans directly — call Congress. End this war.

I am Catholic. Consider comparing the vague, mild remarks of Pope Leo XIV, after the Iranian Regime killed as many unarmed protestors in 2 days that Israel was accused of killing in the entire Gaza War. “My thoughts turn to the situation currently unfolding in the Middle East, especially in Iran and Syria, where ongoing tensions continue to claim many lives.” He added: “I hope and pray that dialogue and peace may be patiently nurtured in pursuit of the common good of the whole of society.” The Iranian Regime went through hospitals and shot wounded protestors getting treated. When 2 nurses tried to shield patients, they were gang raped so savagely that one of them lost her uterus. The regime raped female and many male protestors before execution, conducted by slowly hanging them by a crane. Did you get any sense of this demonic violence from Pope Leo’s remarks about “tensions”? Because I didn’t. Instead, Pope Leo XIV vehemently and publicly opposed US and Israel military action against Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and again when we returned because Iran went right back to work salvaging that nuclear weapons program. The Pope holds audience in front of the horrific, 66 foot long statues called “The Resurrection”, depicting Jesus Christ rising from the devastation of nuclear war. You would think that averting nuclear war would be somewhere on his mind. Instead, he has inexplicably sided with the Iranian Regime. A pope accusing a U.S. President of War Crimes, for a battle against terrorism, is outrageous. In the US, we Catholics face bigotry, especially from Protestants who accuse us of worshipping the pope, or being controlled by him. For the Holy Father to use his position of authority to call upon Catholics to condemn the democratically elected president of the United States, will fuel anti-Catholic bigots who think we are controlled by our pope. I am deeply disappointed in this pope’s regular political, far Left statements. He heads the Church, not politics. At this rate, in the midst of a miraculous renaissance of Catholic reversions and conversions, this pope may very well convince people that the Church is only a home for Democrats. This is appallingly poor judgment.

He said he would destroy a civilization, not the Iranian people. Many assumed destroying a civilization means genocide, but it does not, though that is certainly one way. The Iranian civilization of the 1970s was Westernized and free. Women walked around in mini skirts with their hair flowing. That civilization was destroyed by the fall of the Shah. The Ayatollah forced a new civilization of oppression, treating women like cattle. Women were beaten or raped for showing any hair. Protesters were slaughtered by the tens of thousands. Countless young men, with their whole lives ahead of them, were slowly hanged by cranes. The Ayatollah decreed his government was the representative of Allah, so criticizing the government was a crime against Allah, punishable by torture, then execution. THAT’S the forced culture that Iranians THEMSELVES want Trump to destroy. The targets have always been the Kharg Island deep water port for oil shipments, oil storage, and power plants. That would cut off funding for the remaining heads of the regime, who are still randomly bombing every country they can reach, through their Mosaic Defense. Nothing has changed. Trump never said he was going to kill all Iranians. People assumed that’s what he meant about destroying civilizations. His word choice invited uproar, as people jumped to conclusions. Of course I wish he’d specified the regime, or the regime-imposed civilization. Yet let’s not pretend that the body of rhetoric doesn’t exist for context. He’s long supported the Iranian people’s fight for freedom.

The Iranian people themselves begged Trump to bomb Iran, to help free them from the oppression of the Ayatollah slaughtering them. A civilization is the cultural characteristics of a time or place. The civilization of Iran in the 1970s was free, Westernized, and socially liberal. Women wore miniskirts. That civilization was destroyed by the Atatollah upon the fall of the Shah. Now, Iranian civilization is oppressive and abusive. Women are beaten and raped for showing hair. Protestors are killed by the tens of thousands. Female protestors and many males are gang raped prior to execution. The regime tortures people, breaks their teeth, and forces them to swallow the shards. A majority of Iranians THEMSELVES want that oppressive, artificially imposed society destroyed, and return to the Westernized civilization of 50 years ago. Destroying a civilization does not require genocide. He never said he would kill all Iranians or commit genocide. People just assumed that’s what he would do. Don’t you WANT the Ayatollah’s forced civilization of oppression and sexual assault to be destroyed, the Iranian people freed, and allowed to organically build their own civilization?

We don't know the real terms of the ceasefire. We don't know if it will last. We do know that American forces were not ordered to commit a crime against humanity tonight -- an event that could break the military and trigger a constitutional crisis. I'm relieved, but I'm also furious that he put the innocent people of Iran, our nation, and the world through one of the most senseless, anxious, and dangerous days in recent history. And he might do it again.

If that were true, then millions of people and many world leaders would be arrested for saying Israel should be destroyed, and the Jews killed “from the river to the sea.” Hamas’ charter calls for global genocide of Jews. There is no international law, by a global government. There are treaties, like the Geneva Convention, which applies to actions, not words. While I agree Trump’s rhetoric was inflammatory, the civilization he has referred to all this time is the Iranian Regime, not the Iranian people. Iran used to be cosmopolitan. Women wore miniskirts and men dressed Western. That civilization was destroyed by the fall of the Shah and takeover of the Ayatollah. That regime imposed a civilization of oppression, which beat and raped women for showing any hair. The regime also rapes male protestors, in a manner designed to cause severe internal damage, before execution. THAT’S the civilization the Iranian people THEMSELVES want destroyed. Trump has long supported the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom. Pretending there are no context clues from the body of rhetoric, and this one line just dropped as the only information we have about someone, is spurious. Once again, the Left was wrong, babbling that Trump was going to nuke Iran when he was actually negotiating a cease fire. Trump has been really clear about upcoming planned targets - Kharg Island’s deep water harbor for oil shipments, power plants, and the oil infrastructure. That would sever most incoming revenue for the regime, and destroy its entire oppressive civilization. If it were me, I’d have used the word “regime” or “system of oppression”, instead of “civilization” to avoid well meaning people mistaking the Iranian people as the target, or political opponents lodging false accusations, but that’s baked into the cake with Trump.

He’s been talking about destroying the Iranian Regime this entire time, not the Iranian people. The civilization he’s referring to is the oppressive system of religious police, women beaten or raped for showing any hair, hanging protesters from cranes, and raping female protestors before execution. That’s the civilization he’s referring wants destroyed, to bring back the previous Iranian civilization. Iran was a free, Westernized country in the 1970s. Iranian women used to wear miniskirts and bikinis. The Left is like noooooo, defend the culture of oppressing and raping women. Preserve that civilization. Impeach Trump for fighting terrorism. These people would make better moral choices flipping a coin. Trump’s choice of words was an unforced error, handing talking points to Democrats, but it’s also disingenuous for people to ignore the context of all his rhetoric to pretend he must be talking about killing all Iranians.

@color_mage @TheWeathergage @DavidAFrench Certainly it's defensible. He scared the Regime into opening the strait long enough to get our merchant ships out, and likely US amphibious ships in. If he had done it, maybe it would have been indefensible. But a threat? It was a negotiating tactic, and it worked.

If such threats are war crimes, then anyone who’s advocated for the destruction of Israel are war criminals. War crimes are actions, not words. The civilization he was referring to is the system of oppression. Iran used to be a chic Westernized country until the 1970s. Women wore mini skirts and bikinis at the beach. It was a Paris of the Middle East. That civilization was destroyed with the fall of the Shah. The Ayatollah took over, and he chose who was allowed to run for President from then on. Religious police kidnapped women off the street if any hair was showing under their roosarie, their word for hijab. Such women were beaten, whipped, or even raped. When the people of Iran rose up in protest, wanting freedom back, the Ayatollah ordered them slaughtered by the tens of thousands, and for the women, and many of the men, to be gang raped before execution. When two nurses interfered with IRGC shooting wounded protestors at a hospital, they were gang raped with such savagery that one of them lost her uterus. The IRGC broke the teeth of protestors held prisoner, and forced them to swallow them at gun point. That system is the civilization Trump wants destroyed, to be replaced with the free Iranian civilization that stood before. A majority of the Iranian people have begged him to bomb Iran and free them. So many were cheering that the IRGC sent jihadis to shoot into any houses where they heard cheering through the windows. The Left around the world has stood with the terrorist Iranian Regime against the Iranian people, and against President Trump and the U.S. The Iranian Regime was the real life inspiration for Margaret Atwood’s “A Handmaid’s Tale”. Don’t you want the Republicans of Gilead town down so the Handmaids may be free?

I personally think he should finish the regime totally. The Left in the U.S., Canada, Western and Eastern Europe, and Asia, are all pressuring him for a cease fire. All siding with the terrorist Iranian Regime against the U.S., including American Democrats. He killed the Atatollah, the council of experts, struck the next one, and the next in line, wiped out major leadership. Iran uses a Mosaic Defense, which was a contingency plan for the death of the Atatollah. It is essentially independent cells in the military that will keep fighting and making decisions even if communications are cut off from leadership or the rest of the military. Their orders are to just keep bombing, and keep fighting, until each cell is destroyed. The leadership of the IRGC is mostly in the ground at this point. I actually oppose a cease fire. We’re winning. Their navy is sunk, Air Force in ashes, many missile silos destroyed. We need to keep ripping out the rest. It is a tragedy of betrayal that most of our allies have all turned against the U.S. in an effort to keep this terrorist Iranian Regime in place. Democrats have threatened to impeach Trump since the start of this war on terror, relying on amnesia over Obama bombing 7 countries.

I agree that the rhetoric was inflammatory and unhelpful. What I take issue with is Democrats once again proclaiming that he meant the opposite of all prior context. Once again, Democrats were proven wrong. They all proclaimed Trump was going to nuke Iran, but instead, he negotiated a cease fire. Democrats then expect instant amnesia so everyone will forget they were wrong once again, and then they’ll go on to the next accusation they “just know” about Trump. They’re doing this while Trump is fighting a terrorist organization that had always planned to get nukes, and use them, even while promising Obama they wouldn’t, to receive that bribe of unfreezing assets and pallets of cash.

@TheWeathergage @DavidAFrench Even if his words were open to differing interpretations (they aren't) the fact that two people can disagree about what he "meant" is a serious, b/c the words of the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES should NEVER be "open for interpretation" depending on what those two "know".

🚨🇮🇷🇴🇲AP report: Iran and Oman are expected to collect transit fees from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz during the ceasefire in the next two weeks. Ships have never paid to use this waterway. Trump threatened to take them back to the “Stone Age,” and instead he is now giving them an advantage no other country has ever had: an official source of revenue from 20% of the world’s oil supply. This is not an Iranian achievement, this is a victory. Iran is expected to bring in tens of billions of dollars a year if this actually comes to fruition.

The President’s threat that “a whole civilization will die tonight” cannot be excused away as an attempt to gain leverage in negotiations with Iran. This type of rhetoric is an affront to the ideals our nation has sought to uphold and promote around the world for nearly 250 years. It undermines our long-standing role as a global beacon of freedom and directly endangers Americans both abroad and at home. The oppressive, terror-spreading regime of the Islamic Republic must be distinguished from the people and the civilization of Iran. Everyone involved—especially the President and Iran’s leaders—must de-escalate their unprecedented saber-rattling before it is too late.
