I don’t believe anyone is moving out of WA because of the millionaire tax: 1. The tax is almost certainly unconstitutional and will be struck down by the court 2. The governor hasn’t even signed it yet 3. Can be repealed by citizen initiative and voters have already voted against income tax 10 times, most recently in 2010 4. Even if it passes, it only takes effect in 2028 5. California, as almost every other state, has an even higher millionaire tax and it seems like plenty of millionaires stay there If you’re wealthy, why would you uproot your life and family on something that will very likely not happen and if it happens you have 2 years to react?

I’d agree … When I was drafted , they told me I’d be playing safety at first, but when I arrived I was thrown into the LB room as a ILB (a position I had never played in my career before) so it felt like I had to relearn the game of football and made me kinda doubt my own ability as a player at times. Coming from USC and having a revolving door of systems & HC’s didn’t help me develop as either a safety or a LB. I played 3-4 different positions at USC (and just happed to be good at em) but never really mastered one. By the time the league came, it felt like Washington was just spitballing what they’d want from me on a week to week basis. One week I’m a true ILB trying to get off double teams at 220 pounds and the next I’m playing basically playing safety and guarding WR’s, TE’s, and slots depending on the formation. I believe if it’s why I ended up dealing with so many injuries in my short NFL career. On top of the fact I ALMOST WENT BLIND from a concussion trying to play aggressive while being undersized. I never had issues with Jay in Washington. I liked him as a HC and trusted em enough to actually cry in his office in private like a baby, when I told em “Something doesn’t feel right with my eye !! I don’t feel the same , something’s off!!” After my concussion before the 2017 season. I have a ton of regrets when it comes to my football career. My biggest is not staying at USC for my senior year, learning how to really play ILB, and avoiding getting drafted by Washington all together. But I’m grateful for the opportunity and hope none of these kids in the future go through the same injuries I set through. And I am in no way offended by Jay’s words. He and I have always kept it 100% whether he liked or not and vice versa . It’s a mutual respect on a situation that didn’t work out in the end 🙏🏽 💯 #HTTR #FightOn

New large water users are particularly problematic due to Salt Lake City’s worsening drought conditions and water conservation needs, which we are already taking action to address. Just last week, I directed Salt Lake City and our entire service area to move to Stage 2 of our Water Shortage Contingency Plan. As Mayor, a primary responsibility I have is to ensure residents have access to clean water, reliable utilities, and safe infrastructure. Put simply, a potential high-occupancy facility interferes with those needs. While we lack direct information from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a 7,500-person detention facility on our City’s west side would likely use 1-2 million gallons of water per day. No athlete is going to abandon those patterns simply because some new coach says to. Dungy didn’t erase habits — he kept the same cue, same reward, and just slipped in a faster, cleaner routine" That is what real coaching is all about. Too many coaches today put players in a box and pay zero attention to how they actually process information. They don’t take the time to understand a player’s strengths and maximize them. Something as “small” as changing footwork can completely screw up decision making and paralyze players. I’ve lived both sides and the bad one sucks. I had a coach who completely changed my entire vision of the game and demanded I change key fundamentals, keys, and reads. I tried to be the good soldier, stay coachable, and do it his way… and I played like absolute shit. Couldn’t play fast or confident because everything felt foreign. On the other hand, early in my career I had a great coach who looked at me and said: “I would never teach it that way, but you know how to make it work, as long as you can keep making plays like that - go ahead” That’s the difference. Certain coaches understand which details actually matter. The goal is to arm your players with the tools they need to play fast and instinctive, not build technical robots. I know I'm not alone on this one and plenty of players can relate. #NFL #Coaching #Gruden 👇
