@jeffdeist The US gov bought body scanners prohibited in Europe due to safety concerns. Then bought them a second time to quietly replace V 1.0 when exposure concerns emerged. I’m sure it’s all fine now.

To all of you fuming in airport lines today, your misery traces back to July 2002-- when the GOP led house voting overwhelmingly to create TSA as part of a new fedgov department known as "Homeland Security." This was sold by Dick Armey to a very willing George W Bush the same way the CIA was sold to Truman: as a "consolidation" of existing agencies, reports, channels, etc. Efficiency! And hey, if a few airport scanners need to be sold to this new department, so be it. So instead of owners- airlines- working with airports to secure air travel, we get the worst combination of inept and sinister: DMV/USPS meets Michael Chertoff. Ten Rs voted no. Chris Cannon (UT) John J. Duncan Jr. (TN) Jeff Flake (AZ) John Hostettler (IN) Jerry Moran (KS) Ron Paul (TX) Tom Petri (WI) Tom Tancredo (CO) Charles H. Taylor (NC) William M. Thomas (CA)

The Hoe_math vs Rufo affair is a deliciously one sided one, Math is absolutely demolishing, and it's not even close.
hoe_math = PsychoMath@ItIsHoeMath

Chris, this is once again either disingenuous (evil) or unintelligent. "We" (lol) are not going to limit immigration. Or triple the prison population. Or prohibit anti-White discrimination. That is NEVER going to happen. Because for those things to happen, the government has to make them happen. And the government has proven VERY CLEARLY AND REPEATEDLY that it does not want to make those things happen. Please explain to me under what circumstances will we pass these things into law? We recently took control of the government, supposedly. Did any of these things happen? WHY NOT? What were they waiting for? What would make them do this? What more can we do beyond winning elections? Win them HARDER? (lol) Who do you have to "vote" for to get them to do it? When do you expect us to "vote" people into power who will do these things? WE ARE ON OUR OWN. THE LAW IS NOT FOR US ANYMORE. IT IS NEVER COMING BACK. THE GOVERNMENT IS CAPTURED. Demographics are 100% likely to ensure that we never have government power ever again. The 3rd world masses will vote for reparations until we are bled dry and die off. No one in the government will ever do a goddamn thing about it. You cannot be serious with this shit. "Let's just make laws to fix it" is detached from reality. That's like those parents who refuse cancer treatment for their child and try to pray it away. No, it would not be easier to get the law to do what we want. It is quite literally easier to start a revolution of meaning and purpose and collectively exit the system. Voting does NOTHING

@MarinasHammer @Turbinetraveler It’s an insane airport. Too small for the volume of traffic it gets. A high speed train from nearby JFK would fix this. It’s politically impossible. They won’t even direct link LGA to the subway and that’s less than a mile.

The current chaos at airports is just another argument for privatizing airport security. TSA agents are horrible at their jobs. The DHS admitted back in 2017 that, when tested, TSA misses up to EIGHTY PERCENT of weapons and contraband smuggled through screening. And now we have to wait in line for three hours because funding for an incompetent agency with an 80 percent failure rate is being held hostage. The whole thing is insane. Get the government out of airport security. They suck at it. And it's just another bargaining chip these sociopaths can use for their own political agendas.

My mother used to say, “Victor Davis Hanson is the court historian of the neoconservatives.” That was, and is, correct. And not a compliment.
M.A. Rothman@MichaelARothman

𝗩𝗗𝗛: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡. Victor Davis Hanson has spent fifty years studying how wars end. When he says the tide is turning, it's worth listening to why. His argument isn't based on what the Pentagon is saying. It's based on how everyone else is behaving. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀. VDH's rule: Europeans never agree to go anywhere near a conflict unless they think the winning side has already been determined. They didn't help in the early days. Now they're starting to move. That movement is not idealism. It's a calculation. They've looked at the battlefield and decided which way this ends. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗳 𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. The Saudis, the Emiratis, the Qataris — these governments have survived for generations by reading the regional climate with precision. When they expel Iranian military attachés, when they intercept Iranian missiles over their own capitals and say nothing about American strikes, when the UAE reaffirms its $1.4 trillion investment commitment to the United States mid-war — they are not making ideological statements. They are placing bets. And they are betting on the United States. 𝗔𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗮. This is the one that should stop you cold. Al Jazeera — the Qatari state media network, historically critical of American military action, the network Tucker Carlson and the anti-war right love to cite against Israel — is now calling the U.S. bombing campaign brilliant and effective, and saying it has been underestimated. When the media outlet of a nation that hosts both the largest American air base in the Middle East and a Hamas political office starts praising American military effectiveness, the message is unmistakable: 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘯. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹. A-10 Warthogs and Apache helicopter gunships are now flying strike missions in Iranian airspace at will. VDH's point: you only deploy those aircraft when there is effectively no air defense left to threaten them. They are slow, low-flying, close-support platforms. Their presence confirms what the Pentagon has been claiming — Iran has no meaningful air defense remaining. Iran's strategy now is rope-a-dope. Run out the clock. Wait for American public opinion to shift. Hope the midterms create political pressure on Trump to stop. It is the only play they have left. VDH's conclusion: if Trump sees it through — and he believes he will — the regime falls. Not in years. 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻. 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝘆. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮.
