Thinking specifically about the upper two, we don't have enough Disney (kids) movies that teach kids (but specifically boys) the value of being a good person.
We don't have deeply flawed and immature protagonists that learn how to become better people in these spaces anymore.

@GunnerDobbins Thank you! Like, I'm pretty sure casting directors' entire job is to find actors who fit the roles properly. And as you've said before, Marvel has frequently taken on less known actors for big roles. There's really no excuse at all for the whitewashing

As skeptical as I have been with Amazon MGM Studios, they've treated PROJECT HAIL MARY extremely well and understood that extending the theatrical window is actually more beneficial to them. A streaming company deciding this is a green flag.

Doom really didn't need an A-List actor. the character is enough to carry a film like Spider-man or Superman. so the notion that they couldn't cast an unknown person don't any make sense.
