Really shocking. As someone who has sparred with Ann Widdecombe over the years, that she suffered such a violent end to her life is horrific.

@andueza330 It makes no sense that the TARDIS is already stuck as a police box for a pre hartnell doctor since it wasn't when he stole it (or she stole him)
In fact Susan stated in ep1 "why hasn't it changed this time" implying it previously did while they had it

The fans who believe in the Fugitive is between the second and third doctor theory may some of the most delusional people.
Her entire character introduction is to estabalish pre-Hartnell incarnations, it makes no sense for to be in between two and three.

I feel like every DW fan has a story like this when it comes to the Christmas Specials.
When you're the fan in the family so they kindly join and watch 'The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe', 'The Snowmen', 'Twice Upon A Time' or 'Joy To The World' and *no one* is enjoying it.

I’ll never understand anyone saying anything other than The Reality War.
It was literally the last episode to air before that era of the series was cancelled and all fans have to say is “it’s for the best”.

@beeeeeeaan Still the Timeless Children for me though because it’s the finale that brings in ludicrous amounts of fan service, is almost completely passive in storytelling and I think fractures the series allowing for the Reality War etc to fully break it

My opinion on #10's "I Don't Want To Go" changes all the time.
But I have a massive amount of respect for Steven Moffat (the Chad that he is) respecting RTD so much that he didn't change #10's final on-screen line in 'The Day of the Doctor'.
It says a lot about that friendship.

I don't like being negative, but that statement from RTD is infuriating. Effectively saying: "There never was a Christmas special, we made it up, and if you're disappointed by that it was your own fault for believing me."

@EddJones259480 @TrilbeeReviews The show needs to have non fan producers. Much as it’s been fun to have nods to continuity it’s scuppered the show in the long term and we need to return to not knowing or caring about the show’s history. Respectfully that’s what Big Finish can and should do

If I was in charge of #doctorwho (god forbid);
- Do the last RTD special with a "walk into sunset" ending
- Rest the show for 3ish years
- Bring back with lower budget and a different/new creative team
- Unknown Actor for the Doctor
- Famous Actor for Companion

@TrilbeeReviews @MMStudios512 A limitation becomes a creative way of working around a problem and would push the production team and performers better. Just because you can approximate something doesn’t mean you should if you can use that budget better elsewhere

@TrilbeeReviews @MMStudios512 I think it’s not so much smaller budget the show needs, as limitations. If there are limitations you think creatively how to work around them. The Gatwa era suffered enormously from a budget that could do everything hugely but frequently for no reason. It meant nothing

@WhovianLife For me i think the show needs someone who isn’t a huge fan, just someone who’s a good show runner with great dramatic instincts. It will steer things away from overdoing the continuity and hopefully get a new audience in and I think those are the important things right now

Question to the ‘walkable city’ advocates who hate cars:
If you go to the grocery store and have eight bags (or even four bags) of groceries, how do you get them home? You push around a little cart or something? Sounds bad.
