The world’s richest man swallowed the largest civilian reporting tool in history because his plan for a centuries-long empire of infinite IVF babies and cars that only kind of do what they say do was being exposed. That probably shouldn’t be allowed to happen.

Silicon Valley execs have no plan here. They’re busy hawking imaginary internet money and a fantasy world through a headset nobody wants. If this place dies, there’s no place for centralized protest or citizen reporting of events. They abandoned the public good years ago.

It’s fitting and seems inevitable in hindsight that the final Main Character on Twitter is Twitter itself
