Went to see #EMILY last night. Enjoyable film if you treat it as fiction. Thought provoking too. But the location of Haworth parsonage & church bugs me. Deffo not the real thing as both limestone in film. Why not use the real ones & why does it seem to be secret @screenyorkshire

@GaynorHaliday I thought that too, and wondered why it didnt say EB, but after listening to talks by the producer and director it seems it was the imagination that Emily should have received recognition of her great literary work in her own life time,which sadly never happened.

Also, lots of images in press showing filming in Haworth, but didn't see any of it in the film. I didn't nod off either! The moors didn't look like Haworth (limestone rocks) & why was a cuckoo heard in the 'cold' months? And why did 1st edition of WH have Emily Bronte as author?

@computer215 Sorry to hear you could not make it to the open day today. There are no more open days planned for this year. However, the cemetery is now open again for visitor access on Wednesday between 10.00 am to 4.00 pm & Sunday 10.00 am to 12.00 pm when the Friends are working onsite.
