Had three quality stages at a pretty deep competition with my best stage at 99.66% even with a miss on paper. Took 4th/40 in Carry Optics (15/105 overall).

Two stage wins this last weekend (99.92% overall on one because major scoring is bullshit). I'll get my M class soon enough if I keep doing this shit.

Cold started the PSTG (@BenStoeger187's) standards for practice. Got 288/340 possible points and missed the par time on the last drill by 0.5s. A lot of my struggles with pistol show up at distance; my eyes get distracted by the dot and my grip shifts causing too much gun input.

@armyourfriends The politicians range from a goose stepping nazi larper, to an "ich bin kein nazi" with an SS tattoo mercenary as the "moderate" choice. We live in hell.

I do not like Brandon Herrera and I don’t think he’s “joking” but Graham Platner lived with an SS tattoo and didn’t remove it until he was exposed for it. I still do not buy that he didn’t and never learned what it was.

@megigogi @_br0xx_ @Cha_Racs Get the really really cheap sewing kits ($10 or less) and do a backstitch on top for better strength and to have it look straighter. Hand sewing just eats up a bunch of time but saves a lot of $ in repair fees. If it's a rip you can crease it inwards, holes you gotta patch.

Ok Matador G 0 or whatever they are calling it... Unfortunately fucking sucks. Even ignoring the chassis being fuck expensive, the frame just is not comfortable. Super rotatey in the hand, it actively does not want to be held. Love their rifles but just a major miss on this.

@ParkerGeurin Seems like you're dot staring/turreting. Look with the head first, then move. Head leads the eyes leads the hands leads the gun.

Today’s dry fire! Convinced my wife to dry fire with me this evening!! And record it even!! She’s wanting to get better at it, so I thought I’d post it up for the homies input. She uses a waist pack because she is still breastfeeding the baby and needs it to move out of the way often. It is less than ideal, but this is the way she carries it so this is how we practice! Please post your advise in the comments!

@tacticoolgf Are you using the same level of confirmation for each presentation? It seems like you always let the dot settle before sending - there is no change in pace between open & partials. Especially in the last string there should be just a streak of the sight. Never stopping is good!

Shooting is a small portion physical and a very large portion mental. Here, I'm working on moving and shooting. Once you find a comfortable pace to move at while being able to track your sights predictively, the more this becomes subconscious and frees the mind up to focus on

@sheentrades Move more aggressively on the first half. Grab the garment higher by the gun, drag it along your chest, establish grip & slam the trigger straight when you get flash of red. Practice draw halves. Beep to garment drag & initial grip, then from grip/garment to sights. This was 0.78

If you still care what some dude did 20 years ago, and take his word as gospel, you deserve to be as mediocre and substandard as you are. Use your own head. Stop overvaluing someone else's "experience". Stop accepting mediocrity. Push yourself to be better. There is no such thing as good enough. There is only the next thing to work on.

Your Gun Training Is Useless Past 10 Yards? A Delta Force legend — John “Shrek” McPhee — says if you shoot more than 20 rounds at the range, you’re wasting your time… and that training past 10 yards is “completely pointless.” When I first heard that, I’ll be honest — it hit me in my soul. Because I love training at distance. I love high-round-count sessions. And I definitely don’t want to believe I’ve been wasting ammo my entire adult life. But Shrek isn’t some random dude on the internet. He’s a retired Delta Force Sergeant Major — a man with more real-world experience than most of us will ever see. So the question becomes: Is he right? Are we all training wrong? Or is the truth somewhere in the middle? Whether you agree or disagree, this is one of the most important conversations in concealed-carry training. 🔥 FAFO GEAR + AKT1 Blackouts (My Everyday Range Setup) If you train, carry, or refuse to be a voluntary victim… the FAFO mindset is exactly that: quiet strength and prepared courage. Hats, hoodies, shirts, drinkware → 👉 shop.mrcolionnoir.com/discount/FAFO Use code FAFO for 15% off during the Holiday Sale. AKT1 Blackouts — the “AirPods for shooters,” except they actually protect your hearing — are also available at the link. If you’re serious about training smart — not just training loud — this one is worth your time. Let’s talk about it in the comments.
