2 lanes (of 3 ) are closed on the #M6 northbound between J37 and J38. This is on the approach to the earlier incident at J38 A lorry has lost some of it's load. Specialist contractors are en route to clean up to the spilt load. There is 3 miles of congestion on the approach.

The #M6 north is closed within J38 #Tebay due to a diesel spillage following a collision. It's likely the closure will remain in place for majority of the day while clear up and barrier repair crews work on scene. Road users are advised to divert using the entry and exit slips

A further reminder of the severe impact on traffic this evening resulting from a full closure of the #M6 north between J31 & J32 following a collision and diesel spillage. #M61 north and #M6 north are experiencing severe congestion as are local roads in #Preston.

The #M6 in #Lancashire is CLOSED northbound between J31 & J32 near #Preston due to a collision involving a lorry which has come to rest on the central reservation. 2 lanes are also closed southbound. 35 min delay north and 60 min delay south. Diversion: nationalhighways.co.uk/travel-updates…

@HighwaysNWEST It is not 30mins on m61, we have moved 0.5mile in 3 hours

Please be aware that this closure of the #M6 northbound between J31 and J32 near #Preston is now causing SEVERE delays. There's a 90 minute delay on the #M6 north with congestion back to J28, 60 minutes south with 6.5 miles of congestion and 30 mins on the #M61 north.
