Personal productivity insight: I'm strongest early in the week then and taper. Of course I'm fresh on Monday, but I also tend to set reminders to check on work I delegate one week to early the next. Tasks peak at 8-10AM and 8-10PM.

@AJA_Cortes @leadpacer I’m rereading Sovereign Individual right now. It calls nation states declining due to “megapolitics” (power shifts that are beyond influence of our personal preferences) and that shaking out into small, sovereign jurisdictions more than 20 years ago. Pretty impressive.

@GergelyOrosz This makes sense. It allows teams to self organize and self regulate. It puts leads at helm of accountability, sparing ICs from bureaucracy.

Here's something very interesting: A few companies that build their in-house developer productivity measurements are NOT measuring individual developer productivity metrics. Their smallest unit is the team, and they make it intentionally hard to go lower. Eg Uber, LinkedIn.

I've got love for @elonmusk because he's figures out which ideas matter most to him and acts on them. He doesn't seem sanctimonious about ideating or executing. It's what he thinks is important, which includes having fun. Crazy to think about his potential legacy long term.

I wonder if part of the reason driving can be relaxing is because it encourages you to widen your visual perspective in line with @hubermanlab's insights.

One of the problems with leading software teams is engineers sometimes like engineering too much. They put up with shit that people who like engineering less would eliminate.
