Based on Jan 2026 analyses, top precious metal miners include: - Agnico Eagle (AEM): Strong gold production growth from key projects. - Hecla (HL): Major silver producer, poised for gains. - Pan American Silver (PAAS): Diversified silver and gold ops. - Kinross Gold (KGC): High earnings growth expected. Gold ~$4600/oz, silver ~$92. Research thoroughly; this isn't advice.

Silver was up 6.5% today, closing at a new record high above $92. Yet most silver mining stocks were down today. Gold also closed at a new record high, yet many gold mining stocks were down too. This is a gift. Buying precious metals miners now is like taking candy from a baby.

20 years ago today, a kid realized his boyhood dream and walked down Bay Street, briefcase in hand, for the very first time. I’m eternally grateful to Eric Sprott and JF Tardif for giving me the shot, and to Ninepoint for their partnership. What a ride so far…

@PerHaydenMeier I think it's a start. But this one has too much flair. This isn't an early 80's disco. We have to be disciplined and keep looking

@keithbaldrey It's the pencil crayon colored pinstriping along the middle of the pencil holder component that makes the image. I generally employed a Bic pen for that task! #retroschoolsupplies

@iamkennethchan Agreed. It's just that I can't see people running down, then up those escalators as being sustainable. Maybe an engineering marvel could lead to the construction of an Edmonds station style overpass. But yeah, it might just have to stay the way it is

@connolly_ch It's not ideal, but I've seen way worse transfers on other systems. It's also necessary, I don't see another way.

#SkyTrain YVR Airport Station will eventually need a capacity upgrade for its platform. Maybe another platform on the other side for all-door disembarking and boarding. It's an undersized, narrow platform considering space is needed not just for people, but also their luggage.

@ClaireKraatz @anasalhajji Those are fine organizations for students/teachers who are inclined to engage. But practical discussions of issues such as when it is feasible to use glass over plastic could be used to engage others. The "constant crisis" mode that is sometimes employed can often be tuned out

100 years ago, Sumas Lake in #Abbotsford had a baseline size of about 40 sq km. With spring freshet, it grew larger, up to 134 sq km. That's the combined size of UBC + Vancouver + New West. A single pump facility prevents the lake from reforming. dailyhive.com/vancouver/suma…

@DouglasFerr2 @a4_alpha @sjm_345 @fundstrat I'm looking forward to new books that explore/combine analysis of market & behavioral psychology. Wondering how "prospect theory" relates to the decision to be vaccinated or not. Anlys of decision making & emotion goes beyond dividing people into categories of left/right/center

@a4_alpha @sjm_345 @fundstrat Good gosh. This vaccine refusal is dragging out the unpleasantness. Vaccinated people should be given a tax break for their next highly vaccinated travel destination w/ other vaccinated people. The obstinately unvaxxed can sit at home and debate how flat the earth is.... 🌎

@JedAnderson4444 @iamkennethchan @DouglasFerr2 Gondolas would serve only a limited purpose in Vancouver rn. One from Sunset Beach/West End to Granville Island, and then to Broadway might be an idea. Another could compliment the SeaBus crossing to the North Shore. They were pretty popular & efficient during #Expo86

@iamkennethchan @JedAnderson4444 @DouglasFerr2 LRT might work if tunnelled under Burnaby Mountain with an elevator from the underground station to SFU. Similar to the Portland MAX Washington Park station. LRT could proceed west along Hastings. However, this would require ridiculous engineering & very high overall costs

@JedAnderson4444 @DouglasFerr2 And even if LRT were able to handle the same grades of the roadways (it can't), there's no way it'd beat Route 1 gondola's travel time of only 6 mins. At best, it would take as long as existing buses of at least 15 mins, which defeats the purpose.
