With hospital and long-term care projects cancelled, DRIPA chaos driving investment out of the province, children with autism losing support, taxes getting raised, 40,000 jobs lost in just a couple of months, and a record $13 billion deficit, it's no wonder British Columbians are done with this NDP government. #bcpoli

Yeah, it could be contentious if it’s reported on as shallowly as this. There are 644 provincial parks in BC. Closing a few of them for a couple weeks to allow use by the Nations whose land it is, who weren’t consulted on park creation, isn’t a big a deal at all. #bcpoli
Rob Shaw@RobShaw_BC

BC Parks says Joffre Lakes Provincial Park near Pemberton will close to non-Indigenous people from June 20-27, and Sept. 8-30 to allow First Nations to practice cultural and conservation traditions. Has been policy for several years. But could be contentious in current climate.

@CanadianGreens @ElizabethMay Omg, that’s Mother Nature in action. D’uh? Circle of life, the planet’s getting warmer. Governments need to prepare and build levees. That’s not happening fast enough in Canada. Do your job, get crackin’

WATCH: Today in Question Period, Green Party Leader @ElizabethMay pressed the government on the growing risk of a collapse of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation. "When will the government stop shutting off the alarms and try to act?"

Shutting down a supervised consumption site doesn’t stop drug use, it just pushes it into alleyways, doorways, and public spaces where it’s more dangerous and more visible. This isn’t solving the problem, It’s making it worse. Ken Sim can’t keep pointing fingers while refusing to support the very services that save lives in his own municipality. You don’t reduce harm by removing safety, you increase death!
Jarryd Jäger@JarrydJaeger

Mayor Ken Sim has vowed to "use every tool in the toolbox" to prevent a new overdose prevention site from opening in downtown Vancouver. Among those who criticized the city's move was @guyfelicella. I spoke with him to find out why 👇 sitkamedia.ca/exclusive-harm…

@BobDEithKC I personally don’t mind acknowledging the traditional people who lived in a particular place (either First Nation, Celts, Q’in, etc). However public officials and institution using “unceded” or “stolen land” promotes a point of view not shared by all and historically suspect.

Land acknowledgements simply recognize the traditional territories of First Nations who lived here for thousands of years before other people settled in BC. It is respectful, honourable and appropriate. Scoring political points by vilifying reconciliation is horrible.
Caroline Elliott@NVanCaroline

Land acknowledgements are divisive and undermine BC’s legitimacy. I’ll end them in the public service and in schools. Public employees should act in the interests of British Columbians. Full stop. Join me: WinForBC.ca

@matt_kercher I think the Greens are doing a great job communicating their platform and I believe they’re sincere. Unfortunately, for me I want a green party that’s more concerned about sustainability and sustainable resource extraction and not social justice. But I respect them.

@Terrilltf I’m a citizen of the legal jurisdiction of Canada. I was born near the banks of the Fraser River, that is my native land. People who immigrate here are settlers and I think it’s wrong to call them names. All humans are from planet Earth.

@Terrilltf Not at all, I support FN rights. However, FN rights do not distinguish other citizens’ rights. Reconciliation isn’t about sidelining people, it’s about coming together and building a better future.

Lmao. Our rights aren’t a popularity contest @MarcNixon24. Good luck trying to make constitutional amendments. Both the provinces and the Feds cannot unilaterally extinguish rights and title protected by section 35. Again good luck, settlers.
Marc Nixon@MarcNixon24

WATCH THIS. Dallas Brodie asks a simple question: Who is standing up for the other 95% of British Columbians? Her solution? Let the people vote on DRIPA in a referendum The NDP response at the end is so despicable if you don’t want to get triggered today, don’t watch it

Amy, we know why it is important to you. But for me, at least, I could not give less of a shit about all the culture war stuff. Maybe I'm alone in that regard. (But I don't care about that, either.)

White people have no culture in Canada @NVanCaroline Your culture is land & resource theft and keeping a group of human beings under race based legislation and taking their children so you can steal those lands and resources. White people in Canada have nothing to be proud of.
Caroline Elliott@NVanCaroline

We are British Columbians. That means something. The NDP wants you to apologize for that. To erase it. To replace it with radical activist ideology. I won't let them.

@AlanForseth @yuri_fulmer @NVanCaroline It’s not 1991. Gordon Wilson is in the history books. Water restrictions begin in May and we have to stop the victimization of British Columbians. UNDRIP isn’t about leaky roofs, it’s saving peoples’ life long savings. Yes, Ross loved Rachel.

Listening to both @yuri_fulmer and,@NVanCaroline fighting it out to be the worst possible leader for the #BCConservatives, compared to what BC REALLY needs, I am reminded of the quote from Gordon Wilson in 1991: “This is a classic example of why nothing ever gets done in the Province of British Columbia” The overwhelming majority of British Columbians don't give a crap about who is positioned furthest to the right -- they want a job, a comfortable home, food on the table, safe streets, and ER rooms that are open I'm sick of both of you! #bcpoli
Yuri Fulmer@yuri_fulmer

Caroline Elliott claims to be a conservative, but her own words prove she defended the Carbon Tax, cheered on DRIPA, said Canada has a racist past, and attacked the grassroots. We found the tape. Watch the video and hear it for yourself. Only Yuri Fulmer can stop the Liberal takeover, Unite the Right, and defeat the NDP.
