Well, it has happened. Ghostty on macOS now has search. This is now in tip releases, I'm certain there's a bunch of polish and bugs to work through over the next months, but more than enough time for it to be rock solid for 1.3 next year. GTK to follow soon. Gobble, gobble. 🦃🦃

@adamwathan @zeddotdev This seems possible (though we'd have to test the impact of having vim-mode always enabled just without the keymap loaded). To pile on @jeffreyguenther's suggestion you could maybe also do editor::MoveToEnclosingBracket, editor::SelectLargerSyntaxNode for this

$1000 to anyone who can implement and get a PR merged to @zeddotdev that lets you bind an arbitrary Vim motion to a keyboard shortcut, without having to be in Vim mode. For example, bind `cmd+'` to `viq` so I can select between quotes without Vim mode.

Zed finally supports Windows

Every time I open @zeddotdev after the Cursor, it's like watching a long beautiful movie after an hour of tiktok. It's calm, it's beautiful, it doesn't scream at you and interrupt. My love goes to tools that help me focus. Thank you the Zed team ❤️

@kettanaito @zeddotdev Weird. Is there anything in your zed logs? Are you able to reproduce in every project, or could it be a specific project thing?

Woke up to the IDE part of @zeddotdev completely broken. No autocomplete, validation, intellisense. Hmm. On the latest update. The issue is with TypeScript. Restarted the language server multiple times. No luck.

@krishnamrith12 Yes! It's definitely a matter of degree (and I think what you've written is accurate too). I've found that even having a model build something that is literally derivative (windowswen.com is all AI generated code) required significant oversight and direction!

We had hacked our own ligatures into IBM Plex, but Lilex (lilex.myrt.co) did a *much* better job so we'll move to that. The terminal line-height defaults to comfortable, so to make it *perfect* update your settings, to get this:

Are there any statically compiled languages with a typescript-like type system (that can use values in types)? I love rust's exhaustive enum's, but I don't love that they're not just structs, and so you *have* to use a match statement to extract values instead of if…
