It's amazing how much atheist discourse is just them pretending not to understand things, thus making discourse impossible.

The main thing that LLMs have done in software is bring back the idea that productivity is measured in lines of code per day. An idea that has been debunked, disproven, and discredited repeatedly every few years in my long software career.

Scientists mapped a piece of brain the size of half a grain of rice. One-millionth the size of the human brain. It took them a year and over 1.4 million gigabytes to scan it. They found over 57,000 cells, 150 million synapses, and even some new structures they didn't know existed. Mapping the entire human brain in this level of detail would require all the data storage generated on Earth in a year + a 140-acre data center. But the human brain itself can hold up to ~2.5 million gigabytes of information - enough for ~3 million hours of HD video or 342 years of continuous viewing. It can process roughly 10 quadrillion calculations per second - enough processing power to run over 4,000 high-end gaming PCs all operating at peak ability. And it only runs on the amount of power needed for a single dim light bulb. No technology even comes close to doing what the brain can do. The more we learn about biology, the more complex it becomes. This is God's Glory on display.

Too much noise in the code makes it unreadable "Domain driven design" and "clean architecture" produce way too much noise. 90%+ of the code is pure noise. It's a direct cause for the decline in software quality

The AI panic is really unbelievable today. The level of delusion and hype have grown to mythic proportions. Has AI beaten Pokemon Red yet? Like a normal 6 year old does, by looking at the screen? Oh it hasn't. But all jobs are over in 18 months? This website is full of idiots.

I've been praying the past few weeks. Unsure why. There's good evidence behind prayer. It mimics breathwork, calming the nervous system, dropping cortisol, and quieting the brain. Daily prayers show lower depression, anxiety, and pain. I'd like to develop a prayer practice. Growing up, the protocol was written for me. Explaining whom to pray to, the structure of the prayer, and the boundary conditions. I don't really know how to pray now.

You are infinitely less knowledgeable than God - imagine dictating a book to people 2,000 years ago, and everything that you could include that they knew nothing about. None of that is in the Bible.

@pulkit_mittal_ If it fails no rows are updated. Rollback on error inside the sql statement itself. No logs, no guessing what is updated. All or nothing.

Backend interview question at Google: Your job runs 10,000 database updates in a batch. It crashes halfway through. When restarted, how do you ensure no record is updated twice and no update is missed? No answer is stupid. Just share your thoughts and learn from others.
