Hey @Our_DA
Is this how your elected councilors respond to their constituents? Absolutely disgusting! This man needs to go.

I'm sure this will go super well for Discord... 🙃

@SgtSmokem The number of times I've seen people ask grok to explain basic ass shit is worrying.

@Bumfluffski Don't know... Sounds a lot like expropriation without compensation to me. 🤡

@8bitZoe So in summary, Penny Sparrow got fined a bunch of money (as did Vicki Momberg) by the equality court, as that is the extent of the court's powers.
Vicki Momberg was also found guilty of Crimen Injuria in a criminal court, hence the prison sentence.
English

@8bitZoe In order to seek a prison sentence you'll need to make a case of Crimen Injuria at your local police station. This has nothing to do with the SAHRC and the Equality Court, as that is a criminal charge.

@cookiemonza It doesn't even end there... Check out the US's "eminent domain" laws 🤡

Reports suggest that Donald Trump has proposed a plan to “take over” Gaza, relocate its Palestinian residents, and transform it into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”
If this sounds familiar, that’s because history has seen this pattern before.
The Trail of Tears (1830s, USA): The forced displacement of Native American tribes to make way for American expansion, under the guise of economic development.
Apartheid-era forced removals (South Africa, 1950s–1980s): Black communities were displaced to create “whites-only” areas, often with promises of “better development” in segregated townships.
Israeli-Palestinian Nakba (1948): Over 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced during the creation of Israel—an event still deeply ingrained in the region’s history.
British colonization of Australia and Canada: Indigenous lands were seized under the justification of “civilisation” and “progress.”
Trump’s proposal, if true, is not just another policy idea—it fits a historical pattern of colonial ambition masked as economic rejuvenation. Taking land, removing its indigenous people, and “redeveloping” it for a new ruling class is a textbook colonial playbook.
It’s 2024. How many more times will history repeat itself before we finally learn?
