@Adebukonla36391 The Rapture, is not the same as The Second Coming please
English

Some years ago, when I was still very young, I came across a video on my mum’s phone. The video had been there for quite a while. In it, a woman was crying. Every time I played the video, I didn’t understand what she was saying; all I knew was that she was crying.
One day, I decided to ask my mum why the woman was crying. She explained that the woman was talking about the Second Coming of Christ and describing what heaven is like. My mum went on to say that the Second Coming could happen at any time and that no one knows when it will occur. She also explained that in heaven there would be no brother, mother, father, or sister, and that everything on earth would mean nothing there, it would be just me and me alone. At the time I had little or no knowledge or understanding of Christianity.
That realization filled me with fear and worry. I kept asking myself, “What if something happens now? What if I never see my parents, my siblings, or my friends again?” Slowly, every natural event became something I feared. Rain, thunder, and even silence made me uneasy. I would look at the sun and imagine Christ coming through the sky. I became afraid of going outside at night and avoided looking at the moon, especially when it was full. What were once ordinary parts of life began to feel threatening.
Over time, this fear shaped the way I saw the world. I became afraid of being left alone, afraid of traveling, and afraid of change itself. Yet as I grew older, I began to understand that what frightened me was not faith, but misunderstanding it. I started to realize that belief was never meant to strip life of meaning or love, but to give it purpose and hope.
Looking back now, I see how deeply those early fears affected me, but I also recognize how far I have come. The world no longer feels as terrifying as it once did. Instead of seeing every moment as an ending, I am learning to see it as something to cherish. My faith, my family, and my relationships no longer feel fragile or temporary—they feel precious. And in understanding that, I have found peace where fear once lived.

Mind sharing that true-life story?

@NationalGridNg Take power off briefly don dey enter 24 hours o
English

THIS IS FOR SAFETY.
When heavy rain is coming, DisCos sometimes switch off supply on purpose. Water and live electricity don’t mix. If rain gets into weak connections, leaking transformers, or exposed wires, it can cause sparks, fires, or even electrocution. It’s usually better to take the power off briefly than risk lives or damage that could keep an area in darkness for days.
Another issue is the network itself. Most power lines in Nigeria are overhead, hanging on poles across streets and neighbourhoods, and a lot of them are old. When it rains, water finds its way into cracked insulators, rusty joints, or damaged cables. Once that happens, the system automatically trips to prevent something bigger, like a transformer blowing or a substation going down.
Rain also comes with wind and lightning. Lightning can send a strong surge into the lines, while wind can bring down branches or make wires clash. When that happens, the system cuts supply to protect itself.

She responded to trauma.
We have seen times where date stories appeared on X for one reason or the other. Can't blame her totally thought.
And shouldn't it be a turn on that a woman you are moving to can help you hold side incase you run into uncomfortable situations instead of buzzing your phone endlessly?
English

I went on a date and everything was going so well. Baba finished his meal, I was almost done with mine, and boom—he said, “Babe, I need to pick something from my car.” I replied “okay,” laughed, and continued eating.
After about 10 minutes and he still hadn’t returned, I called the waiter, asked for the bill, and brought out my ATM card to pay. Just as I was about to, he showed up and apologized, saying his car alarm went off while he was reaching for something, then asked why I had requested the bill.
I apologized and told him I honestly thought he had run away because of the bill—and at this point in my life, I can’t be washing plates. God has blessed me small sef.
I saw the disappointment on his face, and I hope he understood me too. I apologized several times for my reaction.
Temi ye mi, before one X banger boy go come use me collect Elon coin. Abeg oooo.
He stopped talking to me after the date that I have trust issue and may not trust his decision making in the future. Make him no vex, I got traumatized reading all the disappearing men on X ni. 🙈😭😩

@joelzucci @Aeba05 That's the document that transfers ownership of the land to you
English

When going for land inspection, don’t just admire the environment, also make sure to verify the following.
1. Title & Ownership
* Ask for the title document (C of O, Registered Deed, Gazette, etc.)
* Confirm the land is free from government acquisition
* Verify the name on the title matches the seller
2. Survey & Location Accuracy
* Request the survey plan
* Check that the beacons are visible and intact
* Confirm the land matches the coordinates on the survey
3. Access Road
* Ensure there’s a motorable access road
* Confirm the road is not a future disputed right-of-way
4. Land Condition
* Check if the land is dry or waterlogged
* Look out for erosion, flood paths, or swampy soil
5. Neighborhood & Development
* Observe ongoing developments around
* Ask about security, electricity, and drainage
* Know who the neighbors are.
6. Community Issues
* Ask if there are family or community claims
* Confirm if all local dues have been settled
* Avoid “pay later” verbal agreements
7. Zoning & Use
* Confirm the land use: residential, commercial, industrial
* Avoid buying residential land in industrial zones (or vice versa)
8. Measurements
* Measure the land physically
* Don’t rely only on “half plot / full plot” claims
9. Government Markings
* Watch out for red paint, inscriptions, or pegs
* Ask what past markings mean.

🚨 Roy Keane: “Jonny Evans was on the beach just two weeks ago. He left Manchester United as a loans manager four or five weeks ago, and then Darren Fletcher surprisingly gave him a job.
He’s only had two games, Fletcher leaves, and then Carrick gives him another role. It’s a bit much. What has Jonny Evans done to deserve a spot as a first-team coach at Manchester United?”
[@WeAreTheOverlap]

English

Michael Carrick.
Most used formation: 4-2-3-1. Plays a double pivot in midfield.
Style: Just like other modern managers, Carrick’s style stems from playing from the back (eth vibes?), focused on controlled midfield play. Off the ball, it's 4-4-1-1; in possession, it's 3-2-5/3-4-3, achieved by pushing one full-back (often the left, like Ryan Giles during his tenure) high and wide while the other tucks in to form a back three. Carrick rarely deviates from this core structure, which has been both a strength (consistency in principles) and a weakness (predictability).
His style prioritizes expression, development, and attacking flair, making him a fan favorite initially.
Carrick's managerial philosophy is heavily influenced by elite modern coaches like Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, and Xavi Hernández, stemming from his own playing days as a composed midfielder who prioritized control and intelligence.
For the three games that he managed at United, he relied on counter-pressing play and attacking transitions; during his full stint at Middlesboro, his style was as mentioned in the second paragraph. He is more likely to employ a possession-based football in his second stint at United.
Would you like Carrick at United still?
