If you think youre good enough to play college baseball you should be absolutely dominating high school baseball. Not like 1-3 with an rbi single every other game. Not like like 4er thru 6ip. DOMINATING. Like it should be easy for you. Some of you have never even made all conference talking about getting committed like bro you’re not even the best player in your town. Get real guy there’s gonna be a pissed off D1 transfer dying for your spot that already knows how to do college and you think you’re gonna win because you hit .325 once at a small high school. You better hope somebody does you a favor and tells you the truth before it’s too late. You’re lucky you’re even getting this information for free some of you are getting charged 3k a summer and don’t even get that truth.

@Burn_Down_Grnd @WhiteHouse For us that do our own research… China has been landing large cargo planes daily and the ship we boarded had already unloaded fuel elements for rockets. You don’t have to believe everything on press releases. Do your own research

@DWoo22 Answer is No! Any attempt to control the sport will inevitably leave many unsatisfied. This will lead to alternatives and so on and so forth.

Wonder if we can ever get to a time where select baseball has actual seasons. A season that has a defined schedule with there being playoffs and a true championship. IMO that would help 14u kids and down how to compete more and be ready for HS and College. #thoughts

@DanPatrick This is great news. I used to run a food truck after college and it was a huge scam. Inspectors were shady and you had to store trucks at a commissary, which was essentially a brick and morter restaurant extorting food trucks.

Big news for Texas food truck owners! Starting July 1, the costly maze of city-by-city permits will be replaced with a single statewide license. One permit, one inspection, anywhere in Texas. One Bryan-area owner currently pays $2,400 a year in permits across multiple cities — under the new law, that drops to just $238 per truck. That's real money back in the pockets of small business owners. A win for Texas entrepreneurship! #txlege bit.ly/4t5VPnB

@HPBAac I like this because its realistic! Lots of folks I see today have this if you're not throwing 95 or 105ev you're not D1 Material. That's a little unrealistic.

Some good metrics for knowing if you're a D1 pitching prospect in high school... -RHP - velocity over 87 (not topping out, most pitches at 87+) -LHP - velocity over 84 (not topping out, most pitches at 84+) -Striking out more than a batter/inning -3:1 K/BB ratio -Opponent batting average under .240 There are no absolutes in baseball, but these are pretty common metrics for the players I've coached over the past 20 years that went D1 out of high school.

@MattSchirm_CAA I had a kid who chose to go to University of Kentucky for engineering b/c rather than okay D3 baseball b/c he knew/believed that the Engineering program at UK was better than any school that wanted him for baseball… He also had amazing grades so he got some academic $ from UK.

Here's an attitude I hear from high school players occasionally: "If my only options for playing college baseball are D3, then I'll just go to school." There's nothing wrong with "just going to school," but I generally struggle with this attitude. I think... - Have you seen a D3 baseball game? Do you REALLY understand how good D3 baseball is? (Note: It's better than most people think) - If you think you're "better than D3," why not prove it by being a D3 All-American your freshman year and then transfer up? (Note: Most (if not all) D3 All-Americans are good enough to play at a "higher level") - Isn't playing college baseball anywhere better than not playing at all? I understand that all players will have to "hang up the cleats at some point" and should get to decide for themselves when that point is without judgment...but I also suspect a some players miss out on a great college baseball experience (and a great education) only because their ego tells them they're "too good for D3." If you're reading this as a player who would choose just going to school over D3 baseball, I'd love to know why. Feel free to comment below.

@KWBaseball Showcases, ev, launch angle and spin rates are some of the worst things to happen to baseball. Kids are chasing numbers instead of learning how to play the game.

Hitting hasn't changed in 100 years. But if you listen to some people push their philosophy on social media, they will try and tell you you've been doing it all wrong. Hitters are drowning in information, but starving for wisdom.

@dudeabides4now @Thomas_Vera_ Well the movie was made in 2001 and cgi was invested in the 1950s and the cgi was in the middle of being refined and improved in the 2000s so yeah the cgi wouldn’t be great back then 🤣

Serious question! How much do you think Baseball Coaches get paid at each level ? High School and beyond (not travel ball coaches) Head coaches and main assistants.

I’m not getting paid to write this, even though I could if I wanted For infielders: The Wilson A2000 is the best design and in game functional glove you will ever come across If formed correctly, it becomes a fit for every ‘ball in’ and ‘easy ball out’ play one could ever ask for
