@mindplaydk @BenLesh This is definitely confusing, what if I know the type and not the value, so the value can be any type? ClassicEnum.One = 1 The value should be a String? usingFancy(ClassicEnum.One) // 🤔

@BenLesh The "fancy enum" is only type checking the constant string, ignoring which "enum" it belongs to. So you can pass Bird.x or Fish.x, as long as the value is "x", which could get very confusing. In that case, better to just use string unions and literal strings, imo.

I've run across this pattern for enums in TypeScript, and it seems weirdly better than the actual enums? And WEIRDER: The output is smaller?!

Ruby-on-Rails : if you don't want to pollute your database, but you need heavy debugging in the console, there is the "sandbox" option available : rails console --sandbox Everything will be rolled back at the end of your session

@ShinoKouda I think everybody needs a bit time to work with TDD, first of all you need to understand what you want to achieve and also the tools you going to use. If you get comfortable with this two points you going to love TDD. If you don't have a deadline for the Task 😀

In the Rails world, TDD is very often promoted, but I humbly admit that it doesn't work for me.
