What is wrong with these people?? I would love to know the why behind this!!!! The administration just greenlit cyanide bombs on 245 million acres of public land. They're called M-44s. A scented lure draws in a coyote, a fox, a wolf, a family dog, or a curious child. The animal tugs at the bait. The trap fires a pellet of sodium cyanide into the mouth. Saliva turns the powder into hydrogen cyanide gas, which absorbs through the lungs and triggers convulsions, paralysis, and death. In April 2026, the BLM and USDA's Wildlife Services quietly signed a memorandum stripping out that prohibition. Weeks later, House Republicans slipped language into the FY2027 USDA appropriations bill ordering the agency to "fully integrate" cyanide bombs back into routine federal use.

Back story on the new pupper: she has been in a crate/cage for at least the last 3 months, which to me is heart breaking! I am now introducing her to things like plants, grass, outside, lots of space. It is a LOT for her, all of a sudden. The Universe is definitely teaching me patience and unconditional love even more. She is currently around 4 months old, most likely an Aquarius or Pisces. I got her from a local shelter I have been supporting for years. She now has sensory overload and mental overdrive w her nervous system shut bc she never really had freedom of movement or peace. We are currently learning stillness, peace and going potty outside. It is going to be an uphill battle, I know. I am committed to do my best every day, while keeping my sanity!

@coolkitkat I live on rural farmland in Texas connected to other farms that connect to other farms, on repeat.... Do you know how many dumped dogs, feral cats and yes coyotes are in those fields? Coyotes serve a purpose. You can't dismiss it because you're connected to horses.

@Texas_Made67 Yes they do. And livestock producers agree until they start diminishing their herd. That's what this is about. Feeding the world and that's the platform they use to fight emotion. Cause people can really relate to starving. That's the logic they use and win most of the time.

@Texas_Made67 Most people feel connected to horses where as coyotes not quite as much. I don't like the traps but they are used in Texas for years. Don't trespass and make sure greenhorns know not to let their dogs run on ranchers land. They kill livestock and get shot on the regular too.

@Texas_Made67 I have friends who are fighting the BLM changes due to the horse slaughter and suffering of horses being rounded up by helicopters. I think it's the bigger issue in this fight. Don't mean to condescend-those against your stance will just laugh & think your leading with emotion

Families with kids had to flee after they couldn't afford to live here because of these bonds. Do we get our money back now that they don't need the schools. Heck no!

@Texas_Made67 Some, Texas Ranchers, allow federal trappers on their land here for predator abatement. Cyanide traps are amongst the methods used by those trappers. So know whose land your on and what's out there. Just sayin. It was stopped by EO during the last presidency on federal land.

A couple years back, I woke up to an abandoned Kia still running and parked on our street when we lived in East Austin. Our security camera footage showed what looked like 10-12 teens pulling up at 4am in three stolen cars, dumping everything from the cars into the street, looking into parked cars (ours included), partying a bit, then driving off. The next morning I called the cops to get the Kia towed. When the officer showed up, I showed him the video and asked if he had an idea of who'd done it. Without hesitation he said yes. It’s the same group of teens who keep breaking into and stealing cars. Every time they get arrested, the DA's office drops the charges and lets them go. Austin could solve a big chunk of its crime problem if it got rid of Jose Garza and just prosecuted crime.
