@McMurryBaseball first baseman and Wylie alum Collin Bruning went 4-for-4 today with two doubles and TWO GRAND SLAMS!!!!!! The War Hawks defeated the Hendrix College Warriors, 16–11!!! I think Tanner Houck would like to have a word… 😳 On a serious note he is perfect example of a starter who has relied on his slider and has dominated this season with it. Saying as old as time to “establish your fastball” should be replaced with “throw your best stuff most often” 🤷‍♂️

With good intentions, coaches will give bad advice. The truth is no one’s hand or fingers are on top of a ball at release. Stay focused on getting closer, not higher. When eyes are level at release you can maximize release point, extension, and late ball movement. Pic included shows the changes one of our athletes made very quickly!
