Took the dog to the vet yesterday Golden retriever She ate something in the backyard My wife said "she looks off" I said "she's a dog. She always looks like that." My wife made the appointment anyway Nice office Fish tank in the lobby Every professional I visit has a fish tank The vet came in Looked at the dog for maybe 30 seconds Pressed on her stomach The dog wagged her tail He said "we should run some tests" I said "what kind of tests" He said "bloodwork, X-ray, urinalysis, and an ultrasound" I said "she ate a stick" He said "we want to be thorough" I said "what's the cost" He said "roughly $3,400" For a stick My wife looked at me Not the ceiling this time Directly at me The look that means "if you negotiate the vet bill for our dog I will never speak to you again" I said "run the tests" Fastest approval I've ever given No diligence No second opinion No counter The dog looked at me Tail still wagging She has no idea what anything costs Must be nice They took her to the back We sat in the waiting room for two hours My wife was worried I was calculating the per-minute cost of this visit I didn't say that out loud Therapy taught me that much The vet came back Looked at his chart for 90 seconds He said "good news. Nothing serious. She probably just ate something that didn't agree with her." I said "so she's fine" He said "she's fine" I said "we waited two hours and spent $3,400 to confirm what you suspected when you pressed on her stomach for 30 seconds" He said "we wanted to rule things out" I said "what did you rule out" He said "quite a bit" I said "name one thing" He paused My wife said "we're paying the bill" I said "I know we're paying the bill" The vet recommended a "premium digestive supplement" $89 a month I said no My wife said yes The vet looked at me I looked at the dog The dog was asleep on the floor $3,400 and two hours later and she's the most relaxed one in the room We paid In the car my wife said "you were going to negotiate weren't you" I said "the thought crossed my mind" She said "it's our dog" I said "I know. That's why I didn't." She looked at me I looked at the road The dog was in the backseat Head out the window Not a single thought behind those eyes I've never been more jealous of another living thing $3,400 $89/month supplement One stick Non-negotiable Sent from my iPhone

@scotsrule08 @Tesla_AI Could be the “future thinking” stuff, and it sees those red lights, knowing you’ll be passing under them, so it assumes you can’t go because those lights are the next ones you need to abide by… overthinking? 😂

FSD 14.2.2.5. Green light. Car inches forward then just… stops. Nobody there. No cars. No pedestrians. No objects. Nothing. Waited five seconds. Nothing. Had to hold the accelerator down to get it moving. I've seen others reporting this same behavior at intersections. Something is off or changed in this build. The car is seeing something that isn't there or it's hesitating on a decision that should be automatic. Green means go. 🚥

@mikepat711 I have a rule that I don’t cross state lines in a car… (live in FL so you can drive a long time before that) and FSD is the only reason I’d suspend that rule!

Ohio road trip complete. I can’t get over how significantly FSD shrinks travel time psychologically. It’s hilarious to me that I’m already here. It took almost 7 hours but only felt like a 2 hour drive. I would never do these sorts of work trips in any other car. I’d fly every time. But with FSD it’s a joke. Just hanging out in the mobile living room and next thing you know I’m pulling up at the destination. Gets me hype every time.

Using FSD in a new city to navigate traffic / interchanges is magic Total relaxation as the car figures out how to get me from A to B 🙌

Who is BUYING a cybercab for personal use? The whole point is to pay a few hundred a month to always have one available to take you somewhere, so you don’t have to own a car. My 13 year old daughter doesn’t want to drive. Her entire generation wants nothing to do with driving. They (her and 99% of the time 1 other friend) want to press a button on their phone and have a cybercab pick them up and drop them off. For this to actually work, you’ll need a crazy amount of them… and that’s exactly what Tesla is planning for.

@farzyness @DirtyTesLa Farzad - I agree 💯that people love privacy. But you’re conflating ride hailing preference with vehicle ownership preferences. My point remains unchanged: Consumers will certainly ride hail an autonomous 2-seat vehicle. But they won’t BUY a 2-seat autonomous vehicle.

Watch @Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5 attempt a dangerous merge and almost cause a collision with a semi truck, forcing the driver to disengage! @ElonMusk calls this dangerous and defective software “mind-blowing”. FSD must be banned.

@coldenvy @Tesla Right… if you set a view, it should just keep it. No automatic changing/zooming/orientation. I’ve honestly only ever used that map orientation icon/button to undo an automatic change… lol

Ok @Tesla you guys have the best UI. But the navigation orientation suddenly changing when you select a destination has got to stop. NEVER change the map orientation, especially when the car is moving! Just keep the current view. I can’t be the only person who’s annoyed by this!

I knew I couldn’t be the only one!! I get the reasoning behind showing the overall “route” view at specific times, like when initially setting a destination from a parked position… but if I’m trying to change a destination on the fly, while driving, the LAST thing I need is the map completely rearranging itself, turning completely upside down if I happen to be driving south and the map wants to show north as up! 😝

Tesla FSD 14.2.2.5 handles a neighborhood skateboarder and a couple of dogs running into the street, while in the process of dropping off an Uber passenger yesterday. I can tell you from an Uber driver perspective, Tesla FSD is extremely dialed in on all different types of neighborhoods! At this point, the only way Tesla could be better in neighborhoods is if an Optimus popped out while doing the actual dropoff and went played catch with the neighborhood kids for a few minutes. 😂

I just got back from a 4 hour demo drive in a new Tesla Model Y Premium and I’m still kind of buzzing. I've watched the videos. I’ve read the stories. I thought I understood what FSD was. I did not, not even close! Because when you’re actually in it and you let it do its thing, it’s not a “cool feature.” It feels like you just stepped a few years into the future! I tried everything. FSD, regen braking, the acceleration, Summon, self parking, super charging and switching between driving and FSD on the fly. And man… FSD was the part that messed with my brain in the best way! It handled city streets like a pro! It rolled through parking lots, found spots, and self parked. It went right through construction zones with workers out there directing traffic with flags, and it just… did the right thing. Smooth, not sketchy at all! I kept waiting for the moment I’d have to grab the wheel and save it. I never had to take over! Didn't even have one moment where I felt like I might need to! Then the built in Grok planned a scenic route that was actually fun, not just “fastest route” boring. And while it was driving, I played with Grok in Assistant mode and Unhinged mode and I’m not gonna lie, I was laughing out loud because it felt like having a smart, slightly chaotic co pilot that still stays useful. Regen braking was another shock. It takes like five minutes and your brain clicks and you start thinking, why does every car not feel like this? The acceleration is stupid quick! Summon was straight up wild to see in person! Watching that car drive through the parking lot to meet me with no one on board was crazy! I’m telling you, experiencing it is completely different than hearing about it! If you’ve been on the fence, go do a demo drive. Give it time. Try it on real streets, real parking lots, real situations. Because after today, I get it! I’m ready to buy.. NOW! What do you want to try most, FSD, regen braking, Summon, or just feeling that acceleration? @elonmusk - this is truly the future! I am amazed!

I tapped the juice pedal to sneak through but saw the truck trying to jump the line. I assumed he’d stop but my anger kicked in and I slammed on the horn and the brakes. Pretty sure FSD would have stopped… I just did it sooner… @TesCamStudio
