And there it is - 4 years+ of scouting and we have our Final Senior Big Board. The Best 250 Prospects in America rokfin.com/ranking/3128/F…
English

@MatSavant @GlobalWresOrder It really is. If they were not at the same weight I would say all 4 of the freshman have 4x champ ability.
English

@GlobalWresOrder Agreed. And now Davino will face *another* freshman who has practically been forgotten because he only took 4th a NCAA’s. 🤣
This class is ridiculous.
English

🤯 If ever there was a match to perfectly explain the ELITE youth movement in USA wrestling - it’s THIS 🚨‼️
Jax FORREST (OSU) has had one of the most legendary years in USA wrestling HISTORY! U23 World Champion🥇, Senior World Team member, left HS early and became an UNDEFEATED NCAA Champion🥇…
But none of that mattered to NCAA Finalist🥈Ben DAVINO (tOSU) - who himself is one of the great prospects we have seen. He attacked Jax from the jump and shockingly gets the 8-4 win to advance to the FINALS of the Senior US Open.
English

@HuntFishlive82 @BuckeyeTakedown Seidel looks just as good as jac
English

@cory_falbo @EvanRGSmith He was exactly this, at Ohio State. Did you mean “couldn’t have”?
English

@McMatt_87 @JustinJBasch That result surprised me. I don’t know that Feldman has ever lost to an undersized heavy.
English

@JustinJBasch I think they cover - 29-5 final - PSU never really has bulletin board material but they do for this one - Tom Ryan talking smack about them not going to National Duals - I think they come out with a little edge Friday night
English

@BobbyGribbs @JustinJBasch Yah his entire gameplan was backup and wait for a reattack. Should have been hit with the stall warning a minute earlier.
English

@TheBarnSession Davino momentum slowing? He has 2 TF and a Fall in 3 of his last 4 matches. Only reason the Van Dee match was remotely close was because Van Dee did nothing all match. Play defense and try to scramble.
English

Thoughts from Nebraska v Ohio State dual
125: Bouzakis is rolling, maybe some off-the-scale concerns but nothing serious. Psyched to see him against LL!
133: Davino’s momentum might be slowing down from the start of the season, but he’s still winning. Van Dee needs to find a scoring position against these top guys.
141: Mendez for Hodge. Fingers crossed Hardy can peak in March.
149: I will tune in to virtually every match at 149, this weight is so much fun! Stiles thrives in the chaos but Lamer is game.
157: Antrell has bounced back from a slow start to the season, tough not getting to see him against Cannon. AT can benefit from some more scoring opportunities.
165: LJ’s strength is on top, but that doesn’t win against great guys. Taking better shots and finishing cleaner, that’s the next step.
174: Minto can keep matches tight, but that won’t always win a match alone. He battles in the hand fight, attacks and defends well, and can wrestle a full match. Kharchla needs to shake the loss off, his offense works.
184: Allred keeps things too close to consistently win against the best at 184. He needs to find that go-to offense. Same for Fishback.
197: McDanel got the job done against a game Geog, who could have navigated positions a bit better.
285: Ferrari’s style doesn’t translate as well at 285 as it did at 197. Feldman maintained composure, stayed in position, and struck when the timing was right.
Overall, both of these teams duked it out in what may very well be the dual of the year. Nebraska needs to use this weekend to identify key issues to work on for the next month. Ohio State looks forward to a BATTLE against PSU coming soon…

@JpPearson71 Feldmans winning takedown was a beautiful throw by from an undehook
English

@Landon3604 @bigredtds *beats some. Paddy hasn’t looked great and Birden has shown promise lately. I’m hoping he can jump a level and show he is the guy but he hasn’t yet
English

@Landon3604 @bigredtds Paddy is what he is. Wrestles top 10 to top 20 guys close and beats someone. Birden has also never beat anyone.
English

No cannon/paddy is huge

Today's Buckeye lineup ⬇️ #GoBucks
English

@beechball_45424 @bigredtds Birden has looked good recently but he really needs to beat someone that Paddy can’t. Paddy majored LJ earlier this year, we will see how today goes.
English

@bigredtds Cannon is the real loss. Paddy was about to lose his spot unfortunately.
English

@bigredtds Paddy is not good, LJ was gonna win regardless. Huge for u guys that there’s no cannon though.
English

When I said 3x PIAA State Champion🥇Aaron SEDIEL (VT) was potentially the best 133lber in the NCAA - people clowned me.
Said I was crazy, foolish, a glazer.
How is a 13-0 MD over #7 Tyler KNOX (STAN) for yall?!
The kid is a fucking DAWG‼️‼️‼️
English

@BuckWhisperer_1 @handsometuesda9 Would not surprise me. I think Blaze also has that type of talent. Unfortunately for him there are more then one generational guys at 133.
English

@cory_falbo @handsometuesda9 I’m aware but Duke seriously could be the next Cael and go undefeated in college.
Latrobe, PA 🇺🇸 English

@BuckWhisperer_1 @handsometuesda9 PJ Duke should not be surprising anyone. He made a senior world team at 18. Penn State has many generational guys in the lineup.
English

@cory_falbo @handsometuesda9 Penn State guy here, I don’t see Luke, Blaze and PJDuke all losing. If they all do the bout will be very close. OSU needs all those to have a shot. PJ Duke I think is going to surprise people, he is incredible, generational.
English

@jost2brown @handsometuesda9 Anything less than a TF at 165 would be a victory for OSU. 149 could be a major for PSU. Ohio State could theoretically win at 125, 133, 157, 174 or 184 but I’d pick the other guy at every one of those weights. I’ve watched every OSU match for probably a decade.
English

@cory_falbo @handsometuesda9 They have a legitimate chance in 6/10 weights (125, 133, 141, 157, 184, HWT), and do not sleep on a (finally) healthy Kharchala. 149, 165 should be psu but not a given. 141/197 is the only near🔒. I don't expect a lot of bonus points outside of 197 and 141.
English

@LoudensQuest @TheBarnSession Ono will never be a regular in the lineup
English

@TheBarnSession They have 1 graduating senior this year (Haines). They get Ono in the line up next year as well, they WILL be better next year.
English

What if I told you next year’s team will probably be better? What about the year after that? What I want to know is this, when will it end?
Wrestling Junkie@WrestlingJunki6
This Penn State team is the best team in college wrestling history. Program needs an ESPN documentary. Unparalleled dominance in college sports.
