@cotraf_rwanda trained Rutsiro #Tea cooperative staff on labor law, social protection, social dialogue, and collective bargaining. It's under #SD4SD project, funded by @EUinRwanda and @FESRwanda. Following the training, they reached a consensus on the urgent need to sign a CBA.

COTRAF-Rwanda has successfully concluded a crucial training for 70 union representatives. This workshop focused on empowering leaders with the knowledge of workers' rights and labor laws. By equipping these representatives with the necessary skills, @cotraf_rwanda aims to strengthen the voice of workers in Rwanda's informal economy. This initiative is a vital step towards promoting decent work and social protection. The training was part of the #DTU4SD project, which is funded by @EnabelinRwanda and aims to improve the standard of living and social well-being of citizens, particularly youth and women.

Ce 23/2/24, Grâce au financement d'@EnabelinRwanda, @cotraf_rwanda a organisé une formation dans l'économie informelle à Nyabugogo @Nyarugenge. Les autorités locales du secteur Kimisagara étaient présentes et apprécient cette initiative de syndicalisation afin de leur formaliser.

Par le financement d' @EnabelinRwanda, depuis le 23 Janvier 2024, @cotraf_rwanda est entrain de travailler sur la thématique du Travail Décent et la Promotion sociale au Rwanda, spéciallement dans le secteur de l'économie informelle. @FESRwanda @SYPERWA196081 2/3

In his closing remarks, @NzabandoraEric the president of the #Forum & @cotraf_rwanda reminded the unionists that membership fees are crucial to strengthen the Forum and independently performing particular duties. Confederations are basically supported by their members

#Kananga Patrick representing the @RwandaLabour in the workshop said that "anything promoting unity deserves support" and stressed that laws regulating work and collective bargaining models are set. Only implementations issues need to be figured out &uprooted @ilo @FESRwanda

#UnionsSynergy1: An inclusive discussion made of comrades from various trade unions are exposing realities about the feasibility of trade unions synergy in Rwanda. Nevertheless, some panelists emphasize shortage of women & mismanagement of funds by some leaders in trade unions
