Burnham says clearly he doesn’t support Proportional Representation but supports Supplementary Vote (SV) which isn’t proportional. He doesn’t support it before 2029 which is the only way to keep Reform out. The Greens should categorically run a strong candidate in the byelection.

I've just come home from visiting my wife in hospital following major surgery. The medical team have done an incredible job and we’re extremely grateful.
But this surgery was after a 3 year wait and 3 cancellations. Last time they sent her home on the day of her operation.
So when Streeting claims he's done wonders for the NHS, stories like my wife's are the reality. He can fight the doctors and fudge the numbers but our stories don't lie

-Voted 65% to leave the EU
-It’s culturally right wing (concerns about immigration)
-Ethnically 97% white
-68% Christian, 30% atheist, 1% Muslim
-Not especially deprived or poor and evenly balanced between working and middle class demographic
-Makerfield is in the Wigan District and Reform UK won every single seat that was up for grabs last week
