Last Friday I met a woman who begged for 3 items: BREAD LASCO FLOUR You cannot understand the pain in her eyes and my heart. She has 2 sons and times have been rough. I told her to wait, drove to the supermarket and bought her bags of groceries. She nearly bawl.

It is easy to judge people when you are sitting high but mi a beg unnu tink bout the people who helped you with your rent, schooling, tuition, lunch money, groceries, debts, bus fare, gas money etc. Each time someone helped you, they moved you a little further from desperation

It is time to look beyond green and orange, suss and rumour, verandah and armchair expertise and realise we cannot rabidly damage reputations daily under the disguise of "accountability"....and we must expect journalists/journalism to guide our information, not add to its mystery
