Our government should not have ownership in private companies. There are so many specific problems with an arrangement like this, but fundamentally, this is not who we are as a country.

@WCA1118 @ForecasterEnten @JessicaTarlov If they used the savings from DOGE to pay down debt, I’d be all for it. But it’s going to be a tax cut. The budget they passed flat out says they are looking for 2 Trillion for a tax cut (from DOGE) on top of the planned 4 Trillion deficit busting tax cut planned.

The United States is $36 trillion in debt which is unstainable. We as a nation have to make tough choices as to what we are going to do going forward and it’s not easy. Just like a family has to have a budget so does a country. We need to clean up the waste and fraud in every program - Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid (there need to be work requirement rules for those who are able to work) not to mention all the other Government programs where there is so much waste and fraud. Instead of being a “cradle to the grave” nation we need to help the poorest lift themselves up and be productive citizens. Immigrants need to enter this country legally not through an open border like the Biden Administration had. The hatred from Democrats towards Republicans has reached a level I can’t ever recall seeing. The ongoing violence is unacceptable. Donald Trump and his administration have a huge task in front of them that the American people voted for and it’s not going to happen overnight. Please help me understand why the Democrats are so against cleaning up waste and fraud because I am not hearing any solutions from them - just hate and anger.

My friend in the government told me they pay $3.00 for prescriptions, no matter what the medication is. Why? Why are they entitled to better coverage? What insurance plan do they have?Is their plan available to public companies? DOGE, can we get some oversight?
