Been thinking of this study recently (Gideon 1972) - In reality, a randomly selected group received placebo pills (inert substances), but they believed they were getting legitimate steroids. - Over the next 4 weeks (while believing they were "on cycle"), these athletes showed dramatically accelerated strength gains compared to their prior rate. Examples of reported average increases (placebo phase vs. initial training phase): - Bench press: ~10 lbs gain in first 7 weeks → ~29 lbs gain in next 4 weeks (while on placebo). - Squat: ~6 lbs gain initially → ~42 lbs gain in the placebo-belief period. - Military press and other lifts showed similar patterns (multiples higher than expected from training alone).

@alextatem @crackerdoodledo @EdLatimore It could be individual sensitivity. I have a relative who had significant weight loss with .5mg Lilly direct Triz. I'm down 28lbs on .5mg Reta. At that dose the miss label would have to be huge.

So it's time for an update on me playing around with Retatrutide. This is typed from mobile, so forgive any typos or missing words. First, I stopped using it about 2 weeks after post below. I didn't run out. I'm just not finishing it. The Good: -It works. Be ready because it works. I actually lost about 10 lbs from starting. I'm sure some was muscle because that's fast, but I also lost 10 lbs of visceral and subcutaneous fat in 2 weeks getting my thyroid right (turns out I had hypothroidism my whole life‐who knew). The Bad: -It works too well. You need to get the calories to maintain muscle. It's hard–unless you only drink protein shakes. ‐For the first time in my life, I got heartburn because said fuck it and forced myself to eat to get protein. But this shit works by slowing gastric emptying. So yeah, the acid reflux was real and for almost 2 weeks, I was constantly burping, they burned, and they tasted like vomit. -The other end of this was the stomach pain. You really aren't gonna want to eat but, if you do and it's even slightly too much (which is less than you think on Reta), that slow gastric emptying will fuck you up. -The loss of desire for foods was weird. I would think I'm hungry, but not really want anything. Even food that smelled good and I knew was solid. The Unexpected: -I think there's a permanent effect. I am still disgusted by greasy fast food. Never bugged me before. I have not returned to Wendy's. -My appetite is DEFINITELY smaller than it was before and I get full more easily. -I was a salty food addict. Popcorn is not as gross as a Dave's Double, but it is waaaay less desirable now. -I never had any heart rate issues or trouble sleeping. Final opinion: This is probably great for people who have a rough relationship with food and need to lose weight. The glucagon boost I tried it for wasn't really worth it. As always, I'm just a random black dude on the internet who got punched in the head or a living. Do your own research.
Ed Latimore@EdLatimore

I've been on retatrutide for the past 3 weeks. Started a 2 mg/week. Dose this week was 4mg. I got interested after learning it impacts glucagon signalling. Here is a list of my *personal* experiences so far, as a guy who is reasonably lean and in good shape: -I used to eat a Dave's Double from Wendy's almost every day. Now they disgust me. -Can't chew nicotine gum at all. I tried, and it tasted awful. I tried again, and it made me nauseous. -I used to drink a Celsius a day. Haven't had a one. I tried when I first started and I just forgot it was there. -You can EASILY forget to eat all day on this stuff. But within 20 hours of my last meal, I start to get a "little" hungry. -I have lost about 6 lbs, and that is on just a bodyweight training routine for my mobility/flexibility and some light running.

@EdLatimore So did you cap out at 4 mg a week? Worth noting that a lot of testing has shown it’s really common for vials to be misdosed. Which means you *could* have been taking a much higher dose than you thought. So it may be worth revisiting when commercial reta is available.

@BigDadEnergyX @a7las1984 I’ve read it’s okay for back to back if the compound training is prior to the isolation for the smaller muscles like biceps. I like this whole concept. Makes it almost like you can do an arm day bro split with a ppl split concurrently.

@kaspasilver69 @townhallcom I don’t think so. Local Christian church is absolutely booming with younger people. And for the first time in a long time, young men.

@townhallcom This has gotta be a total cope. People around the world are becoming more agnostic/atheistic than ever before. This would be accurate if Christianity was also growing in proportion to the sales, but Islam takes that cake.

@MattWalshBlog A big L on this for some rural areas is how the perc testing rules apply. Each parcel needs sewage approval independently of the other. Idk a way around this.

I used to be entirely in the camp that said you should kick your kids out at 18 and force them to live independently and make their own way in the world. I don’t feel that way at all anymore. I want all my kids to live with us until they get married. Even after they’re married, if they want to live on our property, or close by, my wife and I would love that. The important thing is to teach your kids responsibility, which we’re doing. They need to contribute and help around the house, which all of our kids do from a very young age. Provided you aren’t raising ungrateful useless moochers, why kick them out? Why drive them away from your family home? I don’t see the point in it anymore. I actually like my kids and like being around them. Maybe they’ll all end up scattered to the wind. But I’d prefer to keep the family together. Why wouldn’t I?
