My songs comes from deeply raw expressions of the heart. I write and sing about life's triumphs and trials, and a loving Jesus who is with us through it all.

So glad I had the privilege to record this song with my friends, @ThePianoGuys. Would love to have been there to hear Jon’s son sing this. Merry Christmas!

5 years ago today we released the video for #TheSweetestGift with @craigaven which came a year after we lost our dear sweet Annie. Jon's son Spencer joined us on stage at @vivintarena to perform this song, and we saw the arena light up from your 📱 which felt like stars for Annie

@NJBeisner In Deuteronomy 17:17, God included in His list of commandments for kings: "Neither shall he multiply wives to himself." David and Solomon were definitely sinning when they married multiple wives.

“The Bible says that holy marriage, right marriage, good marriage, the marriage that God condoned and call holy is only between one man and one woman. When I read the Bible, I’m not looking for, ‘ok, what can I get away with? What did all these sinners do, and can I do that too and have God not condemn me?’. I’m also looking at what God calls GOOD.”

Check this out. The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector 9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ 13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ 14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

“So you sold a property and laid the money at the apostles feet?” “Yes, Dave.” “All of the money?” “Well, some of the money, Dave.” “But that’s not what you told Peter, was it?” “No, Dave.”

I’ve been thinking a lot about the tragic death of Charlie Kirk. How could I not. I can’t unwatch the video of a brother losing his life in such a tragic way. This one hit me deeper than I could’ve imagined, in ways I can’t really even explain. I’ve watched him from a distance for years. Often times I found myself wishing he’d said something differently, because when you say so many things so often, things are bound to come out wrong sometimes. The Bible tells us where words are many, sin is not absent. I look back over my life, especially in my earlier years, and wish I could take back so many of things I’ve said on a whim or in the heat of a moment. But as I rewatch video after video of Charlie, talking to students and people around the world, the resounding message he leaves with the listener is that he is a sinner in need of grace, and that the only way to find peace with God is through a relationship with Jesus. Countless times from his own mouth he said his main mission was to share the Gospel. He said that was his calling and mission in life, and secondly to love his wife and kids well. It grieves me to see such callous celebration over the loss of Charlie in such a graphic way, but it bothers me more that those people can’t even hold their tongue for the sake of those closest to him who are grieving. His wife, and those precious babies. Simply put, it’s not what Jesus would do. Last thing I’ll say. So many people laugh at the thought that Charlie died a martyr, but that’s exactly what happened. His faith in Christ drove him to do what he did, regardless of whether or not others come down exactly where he did on every issue. He got up with a purpose to share his faith with others, and draw them into it. That’s exactly why he was shot, and he died a martyr. I’m deeply sad, and I pray for Gods mercy on us as a nation. What evil never understands, is that when it responds this way, it only spreads the Good News further. John 12:24 “Truly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains by itself. But if it dies, it produces much fruit.”

@anonymasslawyer The last thing she would’ve imagined is that he was beat up and placed in the snow. There’s literally more factual evidence to support that canton PD framed her.

The last clip they played before resting goes against the theory the Commonwealth has held. Apparently, she was so angry at him that she slammed into reverse, drove straight at nearly 24mph, swiped his arm, and miraculously was able to stop before plowing into Higgins jeep. In the clip, she merely wonders if she could’ve clipped him unaware, while leaving. If you look at every detail, it’s crazy they would even try this case.

The interview clips Brennan has played so far are so damaging that it could actually prompt Karen to testify. I still think it’s unlikely, but her team might conclude that most of the downside of testifying has already happened and she needs to take the stand to explain it all.

Alessi was extremely limited in what he was allowed to bring up today. That voir dire at the end was his last shot to convince the judge to let him fairly push back on what felt like ambush testimony. Anyone criticizing him right now doesn’t get how thin the line is that he’s forced to walk.

Just now getting to these replies. Obviously I don’t do social media much. My opinion has not changed and I cannot wait until the defense presents their case. Personally, logically, speaking, there’s no way this happened the way the prosecution says it did.

I have always been interested in true crime. I’ve followed every moment of Karen Read’s 1st trial & now the 2nd. I believe she is innocent. It’s been frustrating to see what I believe to be a biased judge on the bench. This is just another example. Curious what others think? #KarenRead #turtleboy

I remember the first time I heard the names of Karen Read and John O’Keefe. It was an AP article about his death and her arrest. It must have been a terrible accident after a night of drinking I thought. It seemed she was going to take responsibility. I couldn’t imagine what she felt like, the regret, and living with the guilt. Three and a half years later, here she stands ready to take down anyone and everything to avoid responsibility — including those who unknowingly sacrificed everything to help her. #JusticeForJohnOkeefe

I was today years old when I learned that Brian Albert's home was sold nearly 50k below asking price. I wonder if they just sold it to the first person who showed up making an offer and peace'd out.
