Chara Oil is a palm oil business based in Port Harcourt, run by Joy. Before this weekend, every sale happened through DMs and WhatsApp. For example: A customer sends a message. She replies. They ask for prices. They ask questions about the oil. They ask about delivery. She calculates prices manually. She sends payment details. And if she isn’t online, they wait. She told me she once nearly lost a sale because she couldn’t reply early enough. What stood out to me about Joy specifically: she’d tried building her own website using a portfolio guide I’d shared online earlier. The site wasn’t complete, but it proved she was intentional about growing her business. We had a call on the 8th of July, where I asked her a series of questions about her business. I got to work, and the next day I sent her the final build brief to confirm she was satisfied before I went ahead. I built her a system around the way her business actually sells: → A fully responsive online storefront → Automated ordering with retail and wholesale pricing → Chara, an AI sales assistant trained on her real business, answering customer questions 24/7 → A WhatsApp handoff with the full order pre-filled, so Joy gets notified instantly Before launch, Joy tested everything herself and flagged that the AI assistant wasn’t responding. I found the issue, anonymous access hadn’t been enabled, and fixed it within minutes. My goal was to eliminate repetitive work, respond faster, and make it easier for customers to buy. Full walkthrough below. Built with @Base44 for the #GiveItAGlow challenge. 🫶🏽

My wife had to be away on official assignment for three weeks, she was worried because senior man is just barely four months old and we don't have anyone living with us and couple with the fact that our first daughter just had a surgery. Things have been tough and the economy is not smiling and so we are both working hard to keep the family going. She was worried and almost cancelled the trip, but I knew we needed the trip as the allowance from it could sort some important things so I told her to go I will take care of the children since senior man was not on exclusive breastfeeding. On the day of the trip I could see the tears in her eyes which she was struggling to hide but I assured her not to worry. She had to carry breast pump along so she can be pressing the milk out until she returns. It been almost two weeks already and I been the one taking care of the three girls and senior man and we are all fine. Truly I have been exhausted because I have to also managed them along side my official responsibility which can be quite demanding too. All I can is that it is good to marry and an understanding and supportive partner. This my baby have been with me through thick and thin and Omo she deserves every sacrifice that I can make. Being a present father has also been very helpful in moments like this. @ImANorthernGirl make una come tell me thank you

You can have a master's degree and still be unemployed. You can have only a Bsc and be earning ₦2M/month. The market doesn't care about your certificate. It cares about what you can do.

One thing adulthood has taught me is that some of the qualities that come naturally to you are the very things people will pay you for. We spend so long focusing on technical skills that we almost overlook the strengths that has been with us all along. Discover your strengths and invest in it💕 Ciao!🙂‍↔️

Months back, I took up Community Management alongside my design career and tbh I’ve been doing great at it! Today was my salary review and my boss said “There’s actually nothing to review. You’ve been doing a pretty good job.” Sometimes the best validation is knowing your work speaks before you do.🥹❤️ Good community management isn’t about sending messages every day. It’s about creating an experience people want to be part of🙂‍↔️
