This is SIGNIFICANTLY more bullish for owning your own compute. OpenAI supporting an open source tool. Already have released a couple open source models. It's clear they will release more open source models built for OpenClaw OpenClaw powered by local OpenAI LLMs. It's obvious

OpenAI bought OpenClaw Your initial gut reaction might be anger and rage, but I promise you are mistaken. This is a win for EVERYONE involved (including you): • OpenClaw remains open source • The team gets way more resources to build incredible products and advance the vision of OpenClaw • OpenAI gains an incredible builder (Peter Steinberger) • Get the biggest PR boost ever • They are finally viewed as 'Open' • Get millions of people signing up for expensive ChatGPT plans to plug into OpenClaw • Connect their name to the most powerful AI tool ever made • Peter Steinberger's entire bloodline never has to worry about money ever again OpenAI will NEVER close source OpenClaw or end the project. It would be brand suicide. They have no option but to keep it open source. Their play here is clear: incentivize using OpenAI models for OpenClaw. Get a massive reputation boost. Hire the smartest builder in AI. This will lead to WAY more revenue for OpenAI and even more importantly: gain the favor of the millions of people who adopted OpenClaw. This will be the biggest PR win in the history of AI and make Anthropic look like closed off walled garden authoritarians for banning people the last month. Expect faster OpenClaw acceleration, ChatGPT plans BUILT for OpenClaw, and an AI tool that will only continue to dominate the world. This is a win for everyone except Anthropic.

@Scobleizer Super interesting, and will be cool when this ships. I was just trialing a few different contacts and noticed each time i put my AVP on with a different set I had to recalibrate the eye tracking - not a typical issue, but interesting nonetheless

I've long heard that Apple is working on this kind of technology, but this is the first time I've seen a patent on it. Very interesting! This would dramatically help them adjust to people like me who need corrective lenses. It also has a major advantage in that some people's eyes actually change every day (that's coming from their own research). Their own research also found that a good percentage of people actually have the wrong corrective lenses in their eyeglasses, either because their eyes have changed, the optometrist messed up, or the process didn't work. This technology helps fix those people's problems as well. I don't expect glasses in 2027 to have this kind of technology, but I assume we'll see it over the next few years. But who knows?

Perhaps this is intentional. By having the super cuts and multiple angles, which we know breaks immersion- they are providing an experience that is unique to both broadcast and in person attendance. The stationary solo camera, may be the best presence experience, but perhaps they avoid that to not compete with in person ticket sales at the moment, and down the road it becomes an upgraded immersion experience to break free from the broadcast camera control.

build life systems in 2026. people over index on will power as it's perceived to be an admirable characteristic. will power is fickle. it fluctuates with stress, fatigue and hunger. nearly half of your daily decisions are autonomous already (you don't think about them). you want to create if-then rules. if 7am, work out. if 5 pm, no more food for the day. every choice you make taxes your mental energies. you want to make as few decisions per day as possible. saving your mental energy for things that are higher value like professional achievement or relationships. not on the mundane things like what and when to eat or exercise.

the market is currently severely mispricing human life. right now, the consensus trade is to spend down biological assets (your body+mind) to acquire fiat currency and status. soon biological persistence will become the most valued asset.

No one cares about decentralized identity until it’s too late.
