The LIRR's fare between Queens & Nassau are very high when compared to MNR's for Bronx to Westchester/Connecticut. This map illustrates this. Compare the fare from the Bronx to places like South Norwalk (32 miles/$7) and that from Queens Village to Elmont (.6 miles/$8.25 Peak).

EX: tree planting contracts- trees die after guarantee date passes bc contractors are smart, know newly planted tree die after trying for 2 yrs with bad planting, mulching & no watering.

The NDAA should not include Senator Manchin’s proposed permitting reform bill that would endanger the environment. The environment and people must be the priority, not fossil fuel projects.

The Bowne Park bocce courts are almost finished!
When I came into office, the Bowne Park restoration was languishing in delays and environmental studies despite being fully funded. I made it a top priority because I knew how important it was to the surrounding neighborhood.

@NYCParks Too many to choose from but Ft. Totten, the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, Inwood Hill, Faber, Hunter's Point, Austin J. McDonald, Conference House, Betsy Head, Baisley Pond, Crotona, and the park of my youth, Pomonok Playground, come to mind. And of course @CentralParkNYC.

Everybody knows Central Park and Prospect Park. But do you know Forest Park or Kissena Park or Van Cortlandt Park? Exotic trees! Nature paths! Pine groves!

Alternatively, our large park system only has 4 blacksmiths! Our Queens blacksmith retired months ago - there still a vacancy. Is it pay or is the city not actively going through applications? I know that Crocheron has safety issues in need of a blacksmith. Work orders hanging.

Did you know every single steel rim at each of 1,800 basketball courts in @NYCParks across the 5 boros is made HERE, at this blacksmith shop in Queens??! An incredible team of 4 blacksmiths expertly makes NYC’s hoops. And one worker who just retired is from #JacksonHeights!
