Respectfully, 80% of Democrats think Israel is committing genocide but Politico, the New York Times, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Semafor, etc, are all very pro Israel. That, not Hasan Piker, may be the problem.

Yesterday, I had the honor of being invited to join @SpeakerMenin, and some of my @NYCCouncil colleagues at an Interfaith Model Seder to learn about and celebrate the traditions of the upcoming Jewish holiday of #Passover. The event was hosted by @JCRCNY and @UJAfedNY, and held at the TSION café to support the owner who received threats for operating an Ethiopian-Israeli restaurant. A member of an offshoot of the Jewish Defense League — designated by the FBI as a "known violent extremist organization" — was allegedly building explosive devices to target the home of Nerdeen Kiswani in a chilling act of political violence. The defendant reportedly planned to flee to Israel following the attack. This comes amid an alarming rise in threats and violence across the country targeting Palestinian human rights advocates. I am thankful that the NYPD and FBI thwarted this plot, which could have endangered Nerdeen’s life and those of other New Yorkers. Let me be clear: We will not tolerate violent extremism in our city. No one should face violence for their political beliefs or their advocacy. I am relieved that Nerdeen is safe. Our city must meet hate with solidarity, and meet fear with an unshakable commitment to justice and to one another.

Crazy story at yesterdays @Mets game - Guy in section 121 had a heart attack and his wife started frantically yelling for help or a doctor or nurse to come over - One random guy in the section who said he was neither started doing chest compressions and saved the mans life. Eventually paramedics showed up to take over and assist the fallen man. The hero went back to his seat, sat down and watched the rest of the game with zero fanfare or attention. He just wanted to watch the Mets win. When the game ended he walked out like nothing had happened. Don't know his name but he saved a mans life and is a hero.

The UK mayor of Bath, Dr Bharat Pankhania, has apologized for sharing a series of posts that claimed the firebombing of Jewish ambulances outside of a synagogue were "Israeli false flags" and "insurance fraud."
He said that "I have been made aware that I have reposted or replied to some posts which have never aligned to my values and beliefs, and which are abhorrent."
So, he wasn't aware that he shared antisemitic conspiracy theories that a hate crime on Jews was actually just the Jews greedily trying to get insurance payouts and sympathy? Was he sleep-liking posts?
If you can't truly acknowledge what you did wrong, then an apology is meaningless. You can't change behavior you won't acknowledge.
Dr Pankhania should spend time with the Jewish community talking about the effect his posts had if he truly wants to make this situation better.
