@Crimson_Godot It's a bit wild to me consider that a lot of people will demand balance changes in modern games that they exclusively *watch* streams of.

Is it wrong to ask for someone to actually have played some of the games in a series before demanding change and they should at least know what the essence of the series is?
I finished Quake 1 because it feels silly to be at Quake Con without at least engaging with the series its based on lol I wanna respect the roots ya know?

@SpaceWzrdCowboy @Wendigoon8 I will also say though, I think a lot of the inspiration for modern internet horror actually goes back to the Twilight Zone. Cursed objects, liminal spaces, and the uncanny valley were constantly played with in that show

@SpaceWzrdCowboy @Wendigoon8 Watched it a few times growing up, it was one of my favorites. I preferred the X-files ultimately but it is pretty wild how W13 is basically an TV SCP show. I think if it had a little less 2010's quirkiness to it, it would still appeal very heavily to modern audiences.

I hate rapture predictions because it makes God sound like a tyrannical riddler who leaves clues for only 5 people & it makes Christianity look like a divination cult. It rejects the Bible & hurts the faith to boost a wannabe prophet’s ego so heretics can feed it to the desperate
