It feels nice to be writing fic because I genuinely love canon and want to see more of the characters and lore rather than because I want to put canon through the wood chipper. All my fics for Yugioh and Tales of Crestoria are foe fiction rather than fan fiction 😭

I've seen lots of good responses to this take but one thing I want to bring up is that sometimes the original JP version and the ENG localization are two completely different pieces of media. Speaking as a yugioh fan here. I know what I'm talking about.
