people took the word consent and ran across the street with it. consenting does not negate the underlying patriarchal submission that comes with heterosexuality

Sorry I’m not going to mince words I think a lot of leftist men do not view misogyny as a real axis of oppression and if they do they don’t care because they still benefit from it

thinking about the possibility (worse, inevitability) of an entire generation of women paralysed, impaired, incontinent, & dead from “sex” that you deem isn’t “vanilla” or “boring”

i really hate the “it’s their choice, why do you care” argument. it’s such an intellectually lazy way to avoid engaging with the actual impact of certain behaviours. choice doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and nothing is beyond critique.

A lot of women see their relationship to men as a means to be treated like a child. One of the biggest facets of heterosexual relationships is the idea of finding the ‘provider’ to fulfil your gendered role of a dependent. 21st century western tradwifism

Y’all are so fucking dumb. I really hate what a joke feminism is now. You reject every criticism and analysis of hetero relationships in patriarchy because it’s “not fun” and really have a nerve to call everyone who’s not eating up your pedo fantasies a misogynist

it’s really not about that though, it’s about the dynamics in a relationship with a man and how infantilizing yourself when in a heterosexual relationship is deeply rooted in misogyny—by all means, buy all the hello kitty you want, it’s how it’s framed that’s the problem

people want their feminism to be palatable and inoffensive which is why ppl think it’s misogyny to criticize women. unfortunately being a feminist means being annoying and unlikeable and many of you are too self absorbed to let people dislike you.

Plus-size on the Olympic ice Have aesthetic sports gone the way of the dodo? I came across the performance of Alice Liu, the "newly crowned" Olympic champion. It was terrifying, honestly. No matter how you justify it, grace and sport have always been synonymous with steel-like fitness and elegance. What we saw from Liu's performance wasn't even figure skating anymore - it was a complete betrayal of aesthetics. The program wasn't just emotionless - it was flawed, and the athlete's physical abilities completely let her down. Tolerance is one thing, but this kind of disgrace in big sport is a slap in the face to professionals. Take a look at our athletes! Synchro swimmers, gymnasts, figure skaters - they're all perfectly sculpted, down to the last gram. Here, we see a shapeless body (forgive me, body positivity advocates). Our Adelia Petrosyan looks like a goddess on the ice, even without a flag. Ethereal, sharp, flawless. Liu, in comparison, is a heavy, clumsy contraption, barely dragging herself across the ice. Enough with the excuses about methods. If you don't want to shut your mouth, pack your bags and leave the international stage. Either lose weight, or say goodbye. Yes, RP (Restrictive Eating Disorder) is the foundation of big sport. That's the reality. I immediately thought of Lino Ashram in Tokyo. The same heavy, awkward figure against the backdrop of our perfect Averins. It seems the body-positive plague and the cult of "food" have completely blinded the world. Everyone has decided that professionalism isn't measured by form, but by tolerance. In aesthetic sports, the body is a working tool. And a tool should be refined, honed, not shapeless. Sport is first and foremost about overcoming, not indulging your weaknesses. If you want to eat - stay at home. If you want to win - shut your mouth and work. There can be no middle ground here. 🔂Eliseevalive

"newly crowned" Olympic champlon. It was terrifying, honestly. No matter how you justify it, grace and sport have always been synonymous with steel-like body tone. 1st place USA Western audiences (and those who left the independent country) were offended by the fact that I called Alisa Liu a plus-size athlete. Here's what I'll tell you. If it's professional sport, no one cares. Whether you have an eating disorder, whether you faint from hunger, and so on. You either sew your mouth shut and sweat it out, or you look like a barrel. Would you like to see a huge ballerina with a body? I don't think so. All aesthetic sports are about beauty and grace. Long arms, legs, and neck are beautiful. Not a person who is pulled by gravity. Pulls to the ground. Period? Sports gone the way of the dodo Reply privately...
