also, i don’t really buy the “airdrop hunters drive the volume” angle. polymarket already had solid volume before all the token teasing, and one Jesus / NYC mayor market probably brought them more attention than any crypto-native youtube airdrop farming cycle

Why would they even need a token if the business is already doing great?
The token is mostly for the airdrop hunters who are now spamming every chat, farming engagement, and uploading “HOW TO QUALIFY” videos on YouTube 24/7 😂
For most projects, the token is basically the final stage of the growth cycle.

nah, the thing is they don’t need the crypto part to look good
volume is already growing across plenty of non-crypto-native markets. more is obviously better, but the token can be live while that keeps compounding
and "metrics" for who exactly? this is a $15B company with real fee revenue, not a $100m startup trying to survive the next raise

@bitcoinduke Bro just think about it. They only recently rolled out referrals, only recently turned fees on. We’re still early in the run-up to the token. They still need way more metrics, volume inflation, and juicy stats before TGE. No way they kill the flywheel this early

@crypt0_joker these leaks obviously don’t guarantee the airdrop is close, but but i think they can also drop it at literally any moment. like why not? nothing really stops them, and polymarket clearly doesn’t care about crypto cycles, market phases, or whether CT feels "ready" for it
