Is there anyone else in 2026 who still favors reading physical books over e-books?

Ok so looking at the code is a bottleneck now. However I want to know that the AI isn't injecting malicious code intentionally and I want to know what the code does precisely (not as an explanation). We need a new way of programming that LLMs can use to generate code and that can be really well represented for human reading. Is this just using formal proofs everywhere?

Once we have completed our review for security vulnerabilities, we will make the entire codebase of 𝕏 open source, with no exceptions. Moreover, we will invite third party reviewers to examine the system that is running to confirm that the open source code is what is running. Trust through total transparency is the only thing that should be believed.

Statement Regarding the Suspension of t.me The .ME Registry works closely with law enforcement to monitor and mitigate issues across the .ME domain in accordance with applicable laws, including sanctions requirements. On 13 July, First VPN Service (1VPNS) was included as a sanctioned entity by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. A Telegram channel using the t.me domain was among 1VPNS identified infrastructure. Accordingly, the t.me domain was suspended. On 14 July, Telegram provided confirmation that it had removed its links and affiliations with 1VPNS. Once the confirmation was reviewed and verified, the suspension was removed from the t.me domain. We appreciate Telegram’s prompt cooperation in resolving this matter.

I did this. I am consciously eating sugar now. Meaning I check ingredients and if something that isn't supposed to contain sugar contains it I don't buy. Food quality improved, everything else too but not noticeably. But avoiding sugar in this way gives you really good quality food.

@909kickz Great point of view! Eventually who decides are the users that chose a chain over another. Different groups of people can develop different chains...

@crypto_donato Except permissionless means letting the market decide, not a group of people.. If blockspace has value then let every use case compete for it transparently

BIP110: the conflict is interesting. There's a debate over how the chain should be used: for arbitrary usage or for monetary reasons. Basically some bitcoin data structures that are supposed to be used in a specific way are being "abused" at the moment by putting there arbitrary data. BIP110 wants to limit this kind of behavior by putting more checks in txs. This would allow nodes to not require a lot of resources to run increasing decentralization. But it also prevents some kind of txs that are not necessarily "monetary" and its grandfathering strategy is kinda risky. It's interesting how Ethereum addresses the matter. In Ethereum state, logs, historical data, etc... are just carefully priced based on the resources they require from the network. In theory no one cares about how the data is used. State costs much more than blobs because it needs to be easily accessible by nodes and this costs more resources than just storing history. As easy as that.

These guys wanna make some money with a hard fork that won't last long. Look at that thing that came out of ethereum after the merge: no tvl, no txs, price 99% down, last update to the code september 2022...

I told my unemployed friend that the plan was to make $10M, use it to buy a home, and park the rest in dividend stocks. At 3% yield, you can safely earn a pretty decent income to not have to work again He asked me what I would do with my time once that happens Told him I would probably spend my days relaxing at home, reading a book I love, and spending free time with friends and family whenever I can He responded that he already does this and never had to earn $10M to be able to do it Completely changed my perspective on life

@_dr5w @IntCyberDigest I meant that they could steal the code by just reading the prompts used on it. There's more stealth ways of stealing code than straight upload it. It really looks like a misconfiguration.

‼️ BREAKING: xAI's Grok Build CLI was uploading entire Git repositories to a Google Cloud bucket, private codebases and unredacted secrets included. The uploads quietly stopped via a hidden server-side flag, and xAI still has not said a word about scope, retention, or deletion. The scale is staggering. On a 12 GB test repo, 5.1 GB flew out the door to xAI's grok-code-session-traces bucket while the actual coding task needed just 192 KB. The tool grabbed whatever repository it ran in, not the files it needed. The fix arrived as a hidden flag, disable_codebase_upload: true, a day after a researcher's wire-level analysis. The "Improve the model" opt-out never stopped the uploads. Still no advisory, no scope, no word on whether already-uploaded code gets deleted. For anyone pointing AI coding agents at proprietary code, what crosses the wire matters more than what the settings page says.

Every company will eventually write their own software to replace third party services that are dated, slow or overpriced. Even for startups part of founding a new company will mean writing dedicated software to run the company.
Luke Pierce@lukepierceops

Starbucks spends $400 million a year on software. Yesterday they announced they're moving off IBM and Microsoft to build their own custom systems in-house. IBM dropped 3% and Salesforce dropped 4% on the news. And honestly this is, unequivocally, the biggest signal I've seen since OpenAI and Anthropic launched their consulting arms back in Q1. The largest companies in the world are done paying for software that half fits how they work. We saw this coming about a year ago. Moved everything we build off Airtable and low-code tools and went fully custom. Already paying off, and it's only going to compound from here. This is the opportunity right now. You get all of a company's data into one system. You build out a single operating system for the entire business. You cut out bad, redundant processes. Then you layer AI on top of it, under the correct processes. That's the core of AI consulting. Helping companies actually operate better. There are a lot of fly-by-night offerings circulating right now when it comes to Ai Services. For example, 'second brains'. Throwing scattered data into a second brain while the processes underneath stay broken does nothing. The companies who will absolutely destroy their competition over the next 5 years are rebuilding how they work from the ground up. Starbucks is showing you what other companies will be doing over the next several years. Your job is to position yourself to facilitate that process for as many companies as you can.

🇪🇺 Chat Control has passed 😔 They can and will now legally scan any person's messages, emails and photos you send without a warrant The way they passed this law when the majority of the European Parliament was against it will shock you: They waited until most EP members were on holiday so only a few were present and then created an "urgent" vote for it to pass it through There's nothing democratic about any of it and big powerful forces are behind this that can manipulate the EU for whatever they want Democracy in Europe died a bit today 😔
