Incredibly grateful to have joined @jup_VRFD @JupiterExchange has been a major part of my life for the past 4 years, from LFG to the DAO to Studio. It’s great to finally be able to contribute directly in some way 🫶 The more time i spend with VRFD, the more i see just how much potential need it has as crypto begins to grow into the broader normiesphere, especially when it comes to API integrations with trading apps. Information is so widespread across hundred and thousands of social accounts, it’s nearly impossible for anyone new to the space to actually keep up, and incredibly time consuming for even the veterans. Being able to look at an asset and immediately have up to date news from wider industry news down the tiny tokenomics updates will be a vital part of providing traders with the best opportunities and everything they need to make informed decisions about opportunities. I think VRFD grows a LOT from here, and is another big example of a service Jupiter provides for the general good of ecosystem growth.

The new branding is simpler, funnier, and more meme-native. Instead of the branding supporting the jokes, the joke becomes the branding. It also gives us far more room to grow. As iconic as the puffball has been, certain ‘visuals’ simply aren’t practical for the real-world marketing of merch, posters, events, and broader exposure. $BALLS removes those limits. We’ve also listened to long-standing feedback around IP risk. The new branding is entirely original, removing potential issues down the line and giving us full ownership of our identity. Finally, as one of the first Jupiter Studio launches, $KIRBY inherited some of the friction that comes with a brand-new launchpad. Token discoverability issues, sub-optimal liquidity structure, and inconsistent platform labeling. This migration resolves all of that. None of this changes our humour, our jokes, our memes. Let’s talk about supply control One of the most heavily impactful parts of a meme tokens success in maintaining and holding value, supply control merely means how much supply is out of the general public circulation. But a lot of people don’t understand how different forms of supply control work. Now there are quite a few ways to do this: Team control - essentially functions the same as burned supply as long as the team doesn’t rug. F&F (and i mean actual friends and family not a cabal calling themselves an F&F lmao) - getting real friends to hold supply. Generally works as a slow inflation as people will slowly take profits. Whales - Random buyers who come in and take a large amount of supply. Uncontrollable and random. Cabals - out of the team’s control, when the cabal wants to move on they move hard. All 4 will allow for a memecoin to push up higher in price than a token without any supply control, as limited supply just allows for higher price fluctuations and a more stable floor. Team supply control essentially just highest the ‘base floor’ of a token. The more the team holds and keeps off the market, the higher the natural floor is. As long as the team actually just holds them, the impact is just a stronger baseline to rally around as “big number good” is inherent in people’s psychology. F&F control generally gives a stronger start, and you know that those selling will be respectful about it on the way up. Friends understand and respect the work that the team is putting in, and will try their best to ensure they do not 1 clip. That supply will naturally enter the market in a more healthy way. Whales are useful but also the hardest to understand for a trader. Make sure to know who the whales are, and see how they’re interacting with the team and token as a whole. Negative sentiment shifts in whales often leads to a domino effect of sales between them. Cabal control means up the fastest of the three, down just as fast. There’s no real control from the team about when this happens, if they want to leave they will, and they leave hard. But in turn they also run the hardest, because those holding the supply are often influential and will bring in their wider communities. It’s important to understand who controls the supply of anything you buy, so you can change your game plan around it. Some runners last longer and are more sustainable, some you get in and out as fast as you can. Get in the habit of tracking large wallets that move in unison, screeners allow for you to tag wallets so you can tell who is moving the coins you are in so you can react accordingly. It’s important to play the game you are good at. If you are a longer term bag worker or a quick flipper, knowing what the base of the token you are getting into is will allow you to not miss longer runners, and also to time your exits appropriately in the quick runners so you aren’t left holding the bag when it dies. My personal goal with $kirby to ensure we have the most secure options for holders, the more supply in the hands of the treasury / jupiter, the safer our motion is moving forwards and we’ve been working to build an incredibly strong base so far. This will be improving more in January.
