@blockgraze @IncomeSharks Pretty easy to be flippant about money causing problems after you've got overly used to having it.

Non trivial % play. Powell comments spark a multi week ripping rally into a 50bp cut on Sep 17th. Market tops in the days after.

@TylerDurden Congrats man. I'm well underway on no booze 2025. If I'm not president of a couple of small island nations by 2026 I'll have a rethink.

I am now sober for the foreseeable future, maybe forever. I’ve done 3 and 6 month spells here and there but now I’m ready to call it a day.

@_Checkmatey_ Could being caught on the wrong side of a rising market be driving your internal monologue? "Check the tenant" might be running the show here.

I'm going to assume, that Australia, NZ and Canada being the top three by this metric, has absolutely nothing to do with their out of control housing markets. No relationship whatsoever.

ai idea # 2: today, rich people have their vacations planned & booked for them, they just have to show up—with ai you can do this for everyone, for free. here is how it would work: you tell an ai tool where you want to go, give it your dates, & it crafts a full itinerary—flights, stays, activities, even optimized routes between spots. you can tweak any detail with an intuitive ux, adding or removing stops as you like, even adjusting type of trip, etc. ai handles hotel / airbnb recommendations, giving you options based on your style (boutique hotel? remote cabin?). once you’re happy, you just hit “book” & the ai goes out & “books” everything. no need for endless browsing. no fragmented email chains. it’s all there—clean, fast, & effortless. you could build this today using browser automation & operator tools. no need for deep api integration upfront. reduces travel friction & stress by at least 50%. maybe more.

i’m posting a new ai idea every day with full details—just like i did with the duolingo post. the goal is to spark an explosion of apps & services i personally actually want to use. today’s idea: personal finance & negotiation ai a tool that automatically negotiates bills, handles disputes, & optimizes your budget in real-time. think of it as a magic, proactive, money-saving bullet. if it works right, you’d essentially have a personal cfo working for you. rn most of these apps are reactive or “analysis paralysis” dashboards. making it proactive—like “hey, i just found you a cheaper insurance rate” or “time to renegotiate your cable bill” could save people thousands. plus, ai could exploit bureaucratic inefficiencies better than any human. if you’re building anything here, dm me, i’ll help for free.

Robots doing backflips is cool, but wake me up when Roombas actually start replacing manual vacuum cleaners at scale. They've been out for 20+ years and haven't dominated yet. Once they do, that's a "canary in the coal mine" moment for a lot of other things. 🧵
