ETHDenver so far (part 2): - No sponsored parties at the usual clubs at all - A lot of people I've spoken to missed selling the highs last year - Less degen behavior - People focused on revenue, business models, and much more serious than other events in the last year - More blazers and nice attire than usual here - Stablecoins and tokenization are the narrative buzz - Most VCs I've spoken to "aren't deploying" right now - No uber issues this year - Everyone trying to figure out their institutional strategy - Some founders know they do not have PMF & their token is dying, you can feel it - Good ski week with lots of snow - Extremely strong signal to noise ratio, actual good convos - Zero nft gaming levered yield ponzi bros, thankfully - Better vibes than CT told you coming into it

ETHDenver so far: - No airport sponsorships - Everyone thinks DATs were a terrible idea - Hyperliquid event had very solid group of familiar faces and builders + good new ones - Most people are very aware of the ongoing structural changes in the space, others just feel its cyclical - Chilly and windy - Folks continue to be excited about tokenization, equity/commodity perps, convergence of legacy finance and DeFi - Not sure what it is, but feels like industry is growing up (maybe were just getting older?) - Way less noise - Feels somber, but rooms aren't empty, so its not deep bear yet - There's a real community here of people who just will not leave no matter what, this is a good sign

As long as @EthereumDenver host a conference, I’ll be there. It’s my favorite conf of the year. It’s not the biggest, it’s the highest signal. The programming is always top notch, I actually see all my old crypto friends, I learn by watching the talks. It’s not trying to be a Token, or a Breakpoint, or a Consensus. It’s an ETHDenver.

there are 2 parts to a startup - distribution and tech if agentic engineering "solves" the tech part, then ppl with distribution will be best positioned to win influencers are ideally positioned (assuming they can handle the other 100 things needed to be a founder)
