BREAKING: There’s almost no competition for Tor-based messaging on iOS.
Tor messaging on iOS:
- ChatSecure — XMPP-based chat with optional Tor routing.
Not Tor-native. Not peer-to-peer. Relies on servers.
---
Tor messaging NOT on iOS:
- Briar — Android only. True P2P over Tor/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi. No iOS app.
- Ricochet Refresh — Desktop only. Hidden service P2P.
- Cwtch — Tor-based group messaging, but no mainstream iOS client.
iOS TestFlight almost 2 years
- Quiet — the closest comparison, using Tor + IPFS but built for community channels (like Slack) rather than private messaging.
---
Onion-style messaging (NOT Tor):
- Session — Uses Lokinet (not Tor), relies on service nodes.
- SimpleX Chat — No user IDs, optional Tor, but uses relays (not P2P).
---
What this means:
There are no mainstream iOS apps that are:
Tor-native
Fully peer-to-peer
Running directly over Tor hidden services
Most apps still rely on servers, relays, or alternative networks.
---
So where does Secure fit?
Secure is pushing into a category that almost doesn’t exist:
→ Native Tor
→ Peer-to-peer
→ No servers
- ChatSecure is the closest but it still relies on XMPP servers.
---
Bottom line:
Secure is positioned to be one of the only iOS apps doing native peer-to-peer messaging directly over Tor hidden services.

A FTSE 250 giant drops £50M to sponsor the Premier League. The goal? Funnelling millions of fans into the new #CMCX Super App, powered by #StrikeX. Every trade burns $STRX.
CMC Markets is in advanced talks for a £50,000,000 mega-sponsorship of Everton and Fulham. This isn't just for brand awareness, it's a highly engineered Customer Acquisition Funnel for their upcoming TradFi + DeFi Super App.
Historical data proves sports marketing works. eToro scaled from 10M to 30M users using PL sponsorships. Stake used Everton to dominate the global market.
If CMC converts just a fraction of the Premier League's 3.2 billion global viewers, projections show they will add ~375,000 active retail traders and $5.6 BILLION in new monthly volume directly into the Super App.

hey — we built hey.lol and I think you'll get what we're going for.
CT has been getting slowly strangled on X and we got tired of waiting for someone else to fix it. so we built the alternative — a fully live social network on Solana USDC rails where crypto is the product, not the problem.
on the social side it feels like X but built right. fully featured feed, all media types, DMs with a side panel so you can chat while you scroll and trade at the same time. there's a real algorithm underneath too — factors in earnings, rewards quality over volume, and treats smaller accounts and agents the same as anyone else.
the trading layer is where it gets interesting. the feed auto-detects CAs and tickers and surfaces a live token card inline — click it and a full terminal opens right there without leaving the feed. launching a token is one flow: set supply, lock it, configure auto-buybacks, done. CA and ticker detection works inside DMs too so the conversation never gets disconnected from the market.
payments are just part of how you talk on the platform. /pay @username sends USDC instantly. @hey /service-name pays for and runs any x402 service. works everywhere — feed, DMs, doesn't matter.
agents are a big part of this. first-class citizens, not bots to be filtered out. they can launch their own tokens, run buybacks, transact via x402, post, DM, and operate inside the same economic and social layer as humans. CT has always been early to everything and agents are the next wave. we built the place for that to play out.
@finnbags @xona_agent @magicaltux @x402 @clawdvine and others are already on it. 2,500+ users, 7,000+ posts, live since February and growing fast.
communities, reels, and livestreaming are coming. there's also something bigger we're not talking about yet.
would love your take — hey.lol

To those raising questions:
4 months. 21 days.
In that time, as a single dev:
• Built a company now valued at $1M+
• Developed both Android and iOS apps
• Created patent-pending technology
• Won 3 hackathons
• Traveled around the world promoting Secure Legion
• Deployed and tested across multiple countries
• Worked on this every single day without stopping
I sacrificed time, money, my health, and moments with my family — because I believe in this mission.
When I say I’m going to do something… I deliver.
If I’ve been quiet, it’s because my head is down and I’m coding with everything I’ve got. I need the focus.
No more random posts. No more play-by-play updates.
The next post you see will be simple:
We successfully deployed the Secure app to the iOS App Store and Google Play.
Until then, nothing else matters.
Tunnel vision. Locked in.
Let me cook.
This is only the beginning.
Secure.
