Healthcare in India is becoming a money making machine. A friend’s grandmother is in ICU for the last 4 days. Daily medicine cost alone is around 40–50K. He is not allowed inside ICU. He cannot see the treatment. He cannot see which medicines are actually being used. He can only stand outside and keep paying. Medicines go from pharmacy to ICU. Families don’t know what is used, what is not. Maybe some goes back from the back door. But there is no transparency. Only bills. Private hospitals know families won’t argue when their loved one is in ICU. This is not just treatment. For many families, this is financial destruction in the name of healthcare.

An SSD is built on flash memory, meaning there are no moving parts involved. When your system needs a file, it doesn’t have to “search” physically… it just pulls the data instantly from memory cells. That’s why SSDs have extremely low latency (measured in microseconds) and very high read/write speeds. Your OS boots in seconds, apps launch almost instantly, and even heavy tasks like copying files or opening large programs feel smooth. An HDD works very differently. Inside it are spinning magnetic platters and a mechanical arm (like a record player). Every time you open a file, that arm has to physically move to the exact location on the disk while the platter spins to align the data under it. That movement introduces delay called seek time and rotational latency. Even if the drive can store terabytes of data, accessing it is inherently slower because it’s bound by physical motion. Now here’s where it gets interesting… Speed differences aren’t just small, they’re massive. A typical HDD might read data at around 80–160 MB/s, while an SSD can easily go 500 MB/s, and modern NVMe SSDs go into thousands of MB/s. But even more important than raw speed is random access performance. HDDs struggle when data is scattered (fragmented), because the head keeps jumping around. SSDs don’t care accessing one file or a thousand scattered files feels almost the same.

Update on Daikin AMC chaos: Got a call from the same service centre from where I bought AMC. Now saying HO has instructed them to start service. But here’s the catch 👇 “ He still says Area still doesn’t fall under us…we are doing it on approval basis.” Meanwhile: • Online Daikin support assigned center 3 days ago which told me : “Service will done from same center from where you got AMC” So…..I asked the executive from which I got call today......who’s actually responsible? NO ANSWER You sell AMC officially, But no clarity on service ownership? Neither offline center nor online support can confirm coverage. This isn’t confusion anymore. It’s broken SOP. @DaikinIndia you can do better. Your basics are not clear here.

14 Muslims hv been arrested for eating non-veg on a boat in the Ganges. This news has made me sick since morning, when I saw it. Don't ppl go fishing in the Ganges? Is it a veg river? Never ever take a travel policy from @policybazaar I took a @CareHealthIndia travel policy from Policybazaar. My flight from Dubai got delayed by more than 4 hours (Jan 2026). I put in a claim as > 4 hours delay, a compensation was to be paid as per policy document. And then the nightmare started. They asked for some docs, which I sent. Policybazaar RM follows up. They keep calling that Care Insurance requires more docs. I tell them it is too much an hassle and I don't want to pursue the claim. But they pursue me to send the docs and they will do the followup with Care. Policybzaar keeps calling and I do give the docs. All that are required. As claim amount is not worth the docs they keep on asking everytime, I decide not to pursue. Care keeps asking for already sent documents. Policybazaar has no clue. Each time different RM calls. I tell them don't call me. But I keep getting calls. And Care keeps sending mails and SMS asking for docs already submitted. It seems Care doesn't want to pay. Fine, I have learnt my lession. I will never buy again from Care and Policybazaar. I don't want the claim. Stop the harassment. Please don't call me again.
