That would be unfortunate to have pay any clawbacks on recent revenue generated, but I don’t know if any of that is in a contract between .xz1 and UD or not.

@cryptowonton @mattgould @PopDomains_x Wonder what would happen in terms of UD-partnered TLDs. Our TLD .xz1 is in that list of recently launched UD partner TLDs and I wonder what will happen with our (small) sales revenue assuming they provide refunds for their customers on their Web3 TLDs.

I was surprised by the reaction on my post. Separately on the same day ENS announced they are going for ".ens" expanding out from .eth also in ICANN. To me this is the obvious direction. I've had diff reachouts about visibility of web3 domains on our site and am looking at a few ideas there. But the general direction has been laid out for almost 2 years now and we continue to believe it's the right direction. If anything this has been a well telegraphed slow pivot over the past 2 years, bringing web3 along with us to ICANN where we can.

Well, @mattgould and @sandy_carter - it's good to know that - at the very least - there is no misrepresentation on the UD website of how my domains web2 / web3 domains will work in the future - should the relevant ICANN applications be successful. Clearly, the website informs that those are - as we lawyers would argue - "inextricably linked" . Thus, my ICANN approved tld, for example an .agent domain, will not have any renewal fees in the future. Because you only exclude .eth explicitly on the website, see the screenshot, that means of course, the others are not explicitly excluded and we invested under this legal representation of facts. The combined web2 / web3 domain (in the future) will "retain its onchain benefits" (thus, all of them, nothing excluded) as per UD's website. No renewal fees. UD will thus cover renewal fees for new ICANN-approved web2 elements of previously bought web3 domains on behalf of clients - avoiding all legal issues of potential misrepresentation. UD will - surely - avoid both protracted legal conflict with investors and the severely damaging reputational effects of being entangled in misrepresentation cases (plural). "Yours for life" as the website clearly says. Thank you.
