KaChat obviously needs to keep being developed further. I can’t just stay stuck at the current state. Development on KaChat has basically been at zero since February — that’s way too slow for me. I can’t and don’t want to wait around for it. I want to build a really good messenger for Kaspa — one where people aren’t just shooting meaningless transactions around in circles, but actually do something useful with the transactions. That’s exactly why I created KBeam. KBeam uses a ton of transactions for all kinds of different purposes. Regarding your question about storage: you can set up your own storage directly in the KBeam app. Any SFTP server works, as do other protocols. I also made FTP possible since the data is encrypted anyway, but personally I’d strongly recommend using SFTP instead. That way the data stays with you. That’s the cool part — everything you send is always under your control and stays with you. You don’t have to trust something like WhatsApp. All media files are either stored on your own server or on the BlockDAG. The recipient gets a message via the payload of a Kaspa transaction containing encrypted access credentials to your server. But those credentials are also encrypted in a way that the app itself can’t display or misuse them. This allows the recipient to fetch the data without ever being able to access your server directly. At the beginning, when you don’t have your own server yet, you can of course use mine. The data is stored there encrypted for 48 hours and then automatically deleted. In KBeam you can configure how long you want the data to be kept on your storage. You can also share your storage with other contacts of yours. I didn’t just clone KaChat. KBeam is something completely different. I only reused some foundational parts. I made that clear and public right from the very beginning. #KBeam

@cryptoxoide It’s because of the Adaptive Fee and Proactive Fee settings you can tweak yourself in the KBeam app. With all the testing you’ve been doing, it’s possible you’ve hit some edge-case state I didn’t anticipate. Anyway – keep in mind this is still beta software

The error "Failed to Send All hedged requests failed" appears when a message could not be sent. This has nothing to do with #KBeam. When Kaspadrome was sending a lot of transactions, the same thing happened to me at first — nothing would send anymore. That’s when I developed the adaptive fee and other mechanisms. Since then, KBeam works perfectly no matter how many transactions are currently happening on #KASPA. KaChat cannot do that. Why don’t you just use KBeam to KBeam? KBeam is very similar to WhatsApp — except it runs on KASPA. By the way: KaChat interprets the green checkmarks completely differently than KBeam does. KBeam delivers the real states in real time: sent delivered read listened (to voice message) viewed (media) …with adaptive fee and many other features. KaChat can’t do any of that. That’s also why KaChat doesn’t understand the response properly. At best, KaChat only says “sent” when your transaction has been broadcast — that’s it, nothing more. You’re basically comparing a pocket calculator with a computer. Use KBeam to KBeam. I’ll make a few videos so you can see the advantages clearly. Just give it a try — send me a contact request in KBeam, then I’ll send you test photos, videos or files (100 MB or whatever, no problem). Let’s test it together.

@KaChat_ has native onDAG voice messages. 9 secs long and LQ audio, but it works. @PhilsUnicorns’s kBeam allows for HQ voice notes but where are they stored? I have so many questions. How’s kBeam and improvement over @KaChat_ ? I don’t get it. But I’ll keep testing! Thanks!
