By no means am I saying the pitching is good…but this is a prime example of what I mean when I say the offense has been the reason this team has under achieved. 4 runs shouldn’t be insurmountable at all. Adley/Gunnar/Ward/Alonso/Basallo and now Holiday back. If your pitching staff gives up 4 runs you should be able to score enough to win. Even in most of Baz’s and Bassitt’s starts, that’s been the case. Have they been great? No. But this offense was supposed to be a top 5 offense in baseball.
